Asia Cup March 2011/12

Hmmm.... atleast you get an idea about Batsman form, BPL standard wasnt THAT bad. Nasir Jamshed made his return on the basis of performance in the same league so does Ahmed Shehzad got his place in the reserves.

Hafeez and Ajmal are enough for little Masters, So is Gulee Yorkers so watch out

My friend we are coming home after butchering the best bowler who bowls yorker atm. Gulldozer was dozed in the WC..wouldn't mind doing that again.

I think Jamshed wasn't solely picked for his excellent BPL performance, the guys has been performing well in the donestic for a good while now. He had some fitness issues that is why he was dropped from the squad.

----------

Well I think Wahab should get the whole Asia Cup to prove himself, I don't like the idea of dropping the guy every now and then.

Indian crowd were mum silent in the WC when they got out at 260... They were pretty Wahab-dozed there lolzz

Anyhow enough of this, we will see on that day :)

Don't care who wins. May the best team win.

Hope Tendlya will get his 100th 100 and Dhoni'll be a fail.

Watch out. Dhoni will be Man of the series.... To hell with your explanation of why Dhoni is over rated. And you want Tendulkar, the most overrated cricketer in the entire planet, to score runs and not fail? Hypocrisy... Dhoni is an excellent ODI/T20 player and probably among the top 3 ODI batsman right now in international cricket.

P.s: I dont mind Tendulkar and Dhoni being over-rated because both deserve it.

Here's the ideal line-up I see for India:-
Gautam Gambhir
Sachin Tendulkar
Virat Kohli
Rohit Sharma/Manoj Tiwary( I prefer Rohit)
Suresh Raina
MS Dhoni(captain & WK)
Yusuf Pathan(I prefer Yusuf over Jadeja)
Irfan Pathan
R.Ashwin
Praveen Kumar
Ashok Dinda(He deserves to play after his awesome performance in Domestic cricket and hard work)

Either Raina or Rohit Sharma . Not both in the same team. Tiwari deserves atleast 3-4 games on the trot at number 4 . Rohit Sharma has wasted a golden opportunity to cement his place in the side. Dhoni will never drop his buddy Raina unless he himself is in danger of being booted out. So ultimately it is Rohit Sahrma who will find himself cooling his heels.

But then this is just an opinion and I could be wrong .

:D

I really doubt if Sachin is going to retire anytime soon, from any form of cricket. I guess he might give up his policy of not playing ODI cricket in the subcontinent . The mistake I think Sachin made was, not playing the windies ODI series. His semi-dry run has started since then. Playing matches cannot be replaced by net sessions . He knows that and that his been one of the major reasons for his astounding success over the years. His coach made him play a lot of matches. Many times his coach would make him bat in as many as two or three different teams on the same day(he has himself said it many times). So it was shocking to see him in England posing with Federer when India was playing the WI odi series . Guess he has paid a heavy price for it.Just hope he does not repeat it.

As to the young players . How many places can Tendulkar occupy in the team. One, I guess(I am Einstein). And he fully deserves that place . There are atleast 3 batting places up for grabs in the Indian team(that does not include Sachin and Gambhir.). So argument of stopping the young players from getting into the team does not have a leg to stand on. Then there is that small matter of Dhoni looking out for his buddies.

He did not the play the ODI against Windies was because he wanted to get that ton in Australia which he failed to do so.
