Story Australia In Bangladesh (ICC06) END OF THE GAME

untitled1cc4.jpg

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to the Match Preview between Australia and Bangladesh.
And once again, it was Bangladesh that got over the line against a terrible opposition in Australia. Australia set the Bangladesh side 158 runs to win, and Bangladesh, who have suprised so many people in this Series, came away with the win by 5 wickets. In Australia's Innings Matthew Hayden was the best for Australia scoring 80 being not out at tthe end of the 50 overs. Australia only lost the 1 wicket for the 50 overs, which you could give them credit for, but on the other hand, they did have their top 3 best batsmen at the crease, so they should of produced a good score. Bangladesh just shared their runs around. They didnt reli on one player to make a huge score so they could win. They did loose 5 wickets for the Inings, butt the score at the end that counts, and Bangladesh surpassed that easily.
This is the end of the Series for Australia in Bangladesh, so they won their 1st 3 matches, but then Bangladesh had won the last 2 matches to give themselves confidence in the future series.
Australia opener Matthew Hayden was the best for Australia and was named Man of the Match aswell, scoring 80 runs not being out at the end of the 50 overs for Australia.

The Australia bowlers were pretty good in a way. If their batting order scored a big enough score, than Australia would have won this match quiet comfortably. Brett Lee was the standout as always, taking 3 wickets for the match. Bowling 10 overs, 2 Maiddens, going for 32 runs, but did pick up 3 wickets which really helped Australia but more importanly, it helped Lee get some confidence back into his form and personal state. Shane Watson and Michael Clarke where the other 2 players that took wickets, but that wasnt enough for Australia as Bangladesh ran over the top pf them.
Stuart Clark and Shaun Tait were expensive throughout the afternoon. Clark bowling 10 overs and going for 42 runs, which is just over 4 runs per over. Tait on the other hand, bowling only 5 overs buut did go for 22 runs which is 4.5 runs per over, so they will need to put some work into their bowling.

Well this Series has come to a close between Australia and Bangladesh, and what some great we have seen from both sides. Australia came out of the blocks and really put Bangladesh to the thrash hold. Wining the 1st 3 matches. The 1st Test Match on the 9th of April by 6 wickets. The 2nd Test Match on the 16th April by 3 wickets. The 1st One Day International on the 23rd April by 27 runs. But then Bangladesh decided to give it to Australia and started playing some wonderful Crricket. Led by Javed Omar, the Bangladesh team won the last 2 matches of the Series, winning the 2nd One Day International by 8 wickets, and the 3rd One Day International by 5 wickets. So Australia won the Test Matches 2-0, but Bangladesh did happen to defeat Australia in the One Day Internationals 2-1.

Very dissapointing by Aus, they had 9 and 8 wickets in hand but both times couldn't go on with there totals.

Sorry for the no replys in the past 4 days guys, have been checking out this new AFL Game on the computer, and havent had time to play ICC. But the Ashes will start tonight, and there is going to be more graphics and write ups then i have ever done before, so stayed tuned for that

Looking forward to it, and don't worry, you're not the only one playing the new Footy Fanatic :)

The 2009 Ashes series is apon us, and its Australia vs England to battle out for the Ashes. Last time these 2 sides met in the Ashes Series was back in 06/07 season when the Aussies dominated England to come away with a 5-0 whitewash. But things have changed since then, Glenn McGrath, Justin Langer, Shane Warne, Damien Martyn have all retired, and now the Aussies have bought in a younger batch of players. Players such as Phil Jaques, Brad Hodge, and Shaun Tait are all no crowd favourite names like the McGrath's and Warne's, but they have been getting the job done for Australia over the past 2-3 years.

Australia has gone in with a strong team, with Captain Ricky Ponting wanting to win this Ashes Series again just like they did back in 06/07. Here is the Team, Matty Hayden, Phil Jaques, Michael Clarke, Brad Hodge, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Michael Hussey, Andrew Symonds, Shane Watson, Brett Lee, Stuart MacGill, Shaun Tait.
