Lol OMG, Symonds bowling in the final few overs and picks up a wicket. What on earth was Ponting thinking, nothing wrong with Symonds.

do u have fox sly??

cos my cricinfo seems slower than yours

46.1 Symonds to Mohammad Rafique, 5 wides, full toss down leg, batsman sweeps and misses, Gilchrist fails to collect and ball runs away to fine leg fence.

Disappointing stuff but he takes 2 wickets and Bangla's out for under 200! :D :D. Hope we don't lose.

Pontings captaincy is just strange really.

He wouldn't do this against a top team, so why is he doing it now? it isn't good World Cup preparation. There are new bowlers in the team and it's a little bit silly in my opinion.

But in saying that it has worked to clean up the tail. Poor batting performance.

He probably stuffed up the rotations again.

Well Ponting's reluctance to bowl Symonds has to be a result of health factors (actually it's probably just Ponting's captaincy which would suggest poor team structure and preparation in terms of establishing a settled attack), although Katich looks the far better option over Hussey, keeping the success of Hogg in mind, who is a fellow left-arm wrist spinner, and the nature of the pitch. Bangladesh have really crumbled here, although it has been a solid performance by the Australians.
EDIT: Bangla now dismissed under 200, with Symond's bagging two cheap wickets at the conclusion of the innings...

Still lost why Ponting didn't use Symonds. Maybe hes trying out Hussey to see what hes got. Definitely looks like we are expermenting in these matches. Now for Cosgrove for the next 2 ODI games.

Good to see Bracken got a haircut. Dunno what it is with that, him Dizzy and Oram have all had long hair but now short.

Still very strange, although the opposition is pretty terrible, experimentation often leads to inconsistent mentality with regards to part-timers and their roles in the side, as they need to be aware of how to bowl in certain situations, and require the constant guidance of their captain. If that's chopping and changing to give others a 'go', that unsettles the structure of the team. I don't think international cricket is the scene to be trialling fairness....Having said that, he did only bowl 3 overs :p
By the way, that Cricinfo commentator had disgraceful English....
EDIT: Finally Bracken not a haricut! :)

well its about time Bracken got a haircut...he was beginning to look more like a catwalk model than an int'l fast bowler.

although it still looked relatively fruity and long on the cricinfo image index

Bracken didn't need the haircut, hes been going just fine with his mullet. At least hes proven the hair length doesn't affect your performance ;)

Yep the haircut is the secret to Gillespies 201*
Expect to see Bracken getting a big score soon aswell. ;)

So dos that mean the batsmen with short hair need to cut it shorter to get bigger scores?
Or do they have to do the opposite of short and grow it long??
