i prefer to see more bowlers than batsmen anyway...our top order is the strongest in ODI cricket, give or take Katich

plus Hogg and Lee and to a lesser extent Bracken are more than capable with the bat.

Speaking of Katich who on earth doesn't he bowl anymore? If he started bowling then we wouldn't have to worry about playing 5 bowlers. Katich, Hussey, Clarke and Symonds should be able to make up the 10 maybe a bit more if Hogg is taking some stick.

I dont care what the conditions are like there is no reason to bowl Hussey, they have Symonds who can bowl medium pace or offspin,Clarke can bowl a few overs and Katich is normally handy when he bowls.
Maybe he wanted Hussey to be spanked so that the aussies have a decent total to chase.
So we got 5 bowlers and 3 part timers yet he bowls Hussey.

Johnson looks to be bowling real well, just 1 sometimes 2 bad balls an over, the rest have been great line and length causing all batsmen trouble, looks quick aswell.

Uh, 1 or 2 bad balls an over isn't a good thing- that's why he gets smashed for 7 an over against semi decent teams. And perhaps before you criticise Ponting you could take note of the fact that Hussey should've had a wicket?

Doesn't look like Symonds will be bowling today so maybe thats why Ponting was bowling Hussey.

It's a good point...5 bowlers yet he is still smart enough to use part-timers especially Hussey which never bowled against SA or SL.

If Symonds isn't injured, then Hussey probably shouldn't have had a bowl before him. Symonds is in there as an All-Rounder.

The bowling as a whole seems to be good. If its a flat track then Australia should feel like they are still on top. We will see how they bat.

50 to Bashar. Its good to see at least one player stepping up and looking impressive against Australia.

Who is Ponting going to bowl?

He has 2 from Bracken and 1 from Lee. Is Johnston going to bowl? he only gave him 5 overs. Hogg perhaps? he has 5 overs to kill. Hogg seems a little risky but could work if he can fool the batsmen.
