Well they've managed to deprive the slower bowlers of any confidence, and as they are now well established at the crease, they should really be pressing on. I don't know how the Bangladeshis have been bowling, but one of the batsman at the crease, and they both have the attribute of being brilliant strokemakers, needs to take the initiative in order to boost the current total into something that'll allow the bowler's to find their feet.
EDIT: Symonds is killing it, conclusion- Cricbuzz is much faster :p
EDIT: Clarke goes after a steady innings...

At last the perfect test to see what Hussey can do in a spinning track late in the inns. Way we are going we will be lucky to get 230. Time for some Hussey and Symonds brillance.

I guess 230 is looking more realistic. These guys are struggling to pass the fieldsman like what Clarke tried to do. We just opened up the game for them.

230 would be gettable on this pitch and with our inconsistent bowling. Don't tell me we are going to see another upset loss to Bangladesh. :(

The good thing for me is that I bet 100 vCash on the Tigers :p
I felt an upset sooner or later but with 3 overs left 240-250 is looking pretty good.

Lee will have to have another good spell. If he doesn't we could be in trouble. Cullen is only in his 2nd ODI, Johnson only a few more and it's a pacemen pitch. Bracken should do well in this pitch as hes learnt the off cutter which should come in handy here.

It was a start hampered by early wickets, but with seven in hand for so long, 250 as a final score is pretty modest, and Bangladesh have the depth to chase that down if they approach it with responsibility and learn to develop patience... They are without Ashraful to lift the rate when required, which could go Australia's way- but so many have been getting dismissed due to lack of concentration and crazy shots that his absence actually sets an example for change.
I agree, if he executes them well, Bracken's variations will restrict Bangla unless they practice patience and wait for the right balls to punish.

Symonds make a great 100!
I guess he does know how to play without slogging so much. This must be a new him.
We are looking at 255 now :D

Aww... Hussey out last ball.

i think Bangladesh's batting in Game 1 was as much to do with clever Australian bowling as it was with poor application and shot selection. I mean Bracken was changing his pace very well and that slower-ball that Lee bowled to dismiss (i forget the guys name :p) was a superb delivery.

Symonds gets his 100 :clap
Mortaza had to go off only 1 ball into the final over.
250 looks to be about the target we will get.

Hes gone through an inns without slogging much. Think the 2003 WC :) Since then he has learnt the arc of patience. Shame he can't do it in test matches.

We end up with 250, Hussey did his usual before getting out on the last ball.

He can practice patience in test cricket, but it's not always as effective and is criticised for straying from his natural instincts. The transition isn't always easy on the players who are given the baggy green so late on in their careers.
Hussey'll be disappointed about the last ball dismissal, more unneccessary damage done to the enshrined average :p

what is the pitch like.....will it be difficult to chase?

Flat, Cricbuzz is saying that spinners will really trouble the batsmen so Hoggy and Cullen have a lot to look forward to.

Doesn't give much hope to our fast men then. Looks like Symonds, Clarke and maybe Katich will have to chip in with their spinners.
