Well at least hes doing the obvious thing and bowling Warne who just got Ahmed. When is Cullen going to have a bowl? Stupid move by the selectors if he doesn't bowl this inns.

Ponting should have Warne at one end then Dizzy at the other. Bowl them for 5-6 overs then change with Cullen and McGill. Give Lee a rest on the sidelines and have 12th man fielding. Then get Lee back on to bowl 4-5 overs combined with Dizzy.

And where does Cullen come into this?
I suspect Ponting won't use him well just like how he used White during the ODI series.

4 in an over? All through the commentary they have been saying that he is looking tired and run down.

I told you Ponting should be sacked as captain. Hes a brillant batsmen but his captaincy is bloody shakey.
The team which he has got is not the best I think. He needs some fresh legs in the team.

It's nothing to do with the team, It's the way he is handling the bowling changes and field placements.

Why 3 spinners!? The Tigers could have easily targeted the pace bowlers and could have forced Punter into using a spinner with a new ball early on but I guess Australia got lucky :p

Well said. I've aqlways thought of Ponting as not a class act as a captain, but a very good batsman. During the ashes he didn't give Dizzy as many tries as he would have liked. Instead he bowled Warne, Lee and a injured McGrath for long spells. Vaughan and Fleming I think are the best captains around

Well Ponting is lucky Dizzy is in good form. But nothing wrong with our 2 spinners and Cullen is untried so who knows what could have happened if Dizzy didn't take 3 wickets.

Lee definitely shouldn't have played though.

Vaughan did captain a strong England side pretty well. Ponting has the potential to be good but atm he is really stuggling. I always thought Gilly or Warne should have been captain, probably Warne.

MacGill gets Saleh, looks like Bangladesh is back to their old ways again.
Or mayber the other way Australia is back to their old ways. :p

beautiful bowling by macgill.
the previous ball was a big leggie pitched short of a length and on about middle an off, batmen rocked back and smacked it through mid wicket.
next delivery pitched exactly the same spot batsmen goes to play the same shot but its macgills topspinner and hits the stumps.

Pontings ok with his field placements although he can be abit over attacking allowing sides to get off to big starts.
Its his use of the bowlers that is the major problem.
