CMon Mortaza and Hossain get jaques out.

Shocking to say the least! Even if Jaques failed Katich is miles off the pace. Langer still has to come back and Cosgrove after his excellent season has moved into the list. Hodge well he was sacked for a 50 odd average so he is another above Katich.

Gillespie's return to form is good news for Aus. McGrath, Gillespie, Lee & Clarke will make a potent attack in the ashes series and Aus can rely on Warne & McGill for any spin backup.
just in time for the ashes - I wonder if the selectors will let him stay on for the ODI to keep his return of form going

Dizzy is too good not to turn the Ashes disappointment around

He should stay behind for the ODI series, as Clark won't be too effective in the ODIs after his test display.
Would be good to see what Dizzy can do in the ODI arena.

It would be good to see Dizzy back for some ODI's. But definatly not before the Ashes. I don't think that did him much good before the Ashes. he has a better international ODI record then test, both are amazing. But wasn't really performing domestically.

Well if our current bowlers have shockers against Bangladesh then Dizzy may well get a recall for the Champions trophy. If we concede 300+ against Bangladesh in ODIs we clearly got huge problems.

Lee is my main concern now... Gillespie is just so good now!

To what I see, after him being dropped he has become even better!

I agree, I haven't seen him bowl particularly well in one dayers on a regular basis for quite some time. He does keep the runs down, though, which should work in his favour in the event that a replacement player is required.

No agruing the fact he hasn't bowled well in the limited overs games, but who else do we have? Johnson (too wayward), Lewis (:laugh), Clark (inconsistent), Hopes (hopeless), Watson (injury prone), Bracken (yes), Lee (yes), McGrath (probably) So unless you guys are willing to give Bollinger a try, Dizzy is the next best option.

it wont happen because its common sence - common sence isnt that common :laugh

the selfish side of me wants him to bat all day but the other side wants us to get runs quickley

now if both could happen then it would be great - I guess it depends on how fast PJ bats

Dizzy needs to play shots, if he stays in there tieing down one end, and you got a guy only playing his 2nd test (I think it is) we will be moving at snails pace.
Jaques has shown he isn't reckless as most thought by reining in himself after his blitzing start.

jaques was outscoring hayen and is easally able to motor it when the game suits it

Dizzy has gotten a test 50 and is able to move it if requred - he only needs to hold an end untill jaques is settled in then fo for it. the last shot he played to get out wasnt the best but Jase is a smart man and wont play that shot next time around

Thats a good point, Dizzy should wait for Jaques to get set then let both of them flow. Dizzy shouldn't be playing any crazy shots, just normal cricket shots which he has shown he can play.

Hopefully Jaques makes a 100 to remind the selectors he is still in form.

Great start for the Aussies, These extra put on by Dizzy will really hurt Bangladesh

And Jaques has past 50, on his way to a 100 (hopefully didn't jinx it :()
Dizzy doing a good job with Jaques, hopefully a maiden ton for Dizzy too!
