Simon Jones injury in the last (i think) Ashes was a big blow to him. He would have turned heads in that series. Anyway, will he picked for the Tests?? Any clue??

I don't think he would have had that much influence. He was still pretty raw. This time round though he seems to have perfected his away swinger early on rather than being over-reliant on the ability to reverse swing it.

I didn't mean he would have swung the series for England. i just meant people would have recognized his talent and potential had he played in that Ashes series.

Do you think England will have the following fast bowlers for Test

1. harmison
2. Hoggard
3. Flintoff
4. S. jones

or would they have one more fast bowler??

Injury permitting those are the four to go for with Giles as the spin option. Anderson is obviously waiting in the wings as is Lewis although I think those four are as good a seam attack as we've had for a long time.

It would've been interesting to see how he would've done. Took bucket loads of wickets in the warm up games.

Jones will play injury permitting, better than picking Jimmy 'spray gun' Anderson. Before anyone starts, I have nothing against James Anderson, I would love to see him get back to what he did best.

The only thing that has been holding England back are injuries...the last two series gave us a completely run down English side due to injures...

Start of Injury troubles for England again??

Harmison has been ruled out of England's warm up match against Hampshire due to injury in left ankle. Scans of the ankle taken reveal slight bruising to the bone.

Harmison is key for England. They need him 100% fit for Australia series. I think England should not risk in rushing Harmison to play in ODI series. Ashes series is more important.

Im hoping for an england 5-0 but i reckon it will be close. Bring the aussies down a peg or two, and it will set up englands india tour nicely in the winter.

What about Giles?

Hoggy getting a century-It could happen, if England win 5-0 ;)

Has anyone seen the Sky advert for the odi's Enlgand v Aus-With Shane Warne getting into the boat being deported to Aus and then coming back?

Yeh good ad imo.

Just shows that all non aborigine Aussies were English, they'll love that :crying

Might be bruising around the bone. As bone isn't blood :boxing
