I didn't mean he would have swung the series for England. i just meant people would have recognized his talent and potential had he played in that Ashes series.barmyarmy said:

Jones will play injury permitting, better than picking Jimmy 'spray gun' Anderson. Before anyone starts, I have nothing against James Anderson, I would love to see him get back to what he did best.

Harmison has been ruled out of England's warm up match against Hampshire due to injury in left ankle. Scans of the ankle taken reveal slight bruising to the bone.
Harmison is key for England. They need him 100% fit for Australia series. I think England should not risk in rushing Harmison to play in ODI series. Ashes series is more important.
