I still don't think Aus will win 6-0.
They will win the series,but i feel that Indians will only come good after the
5th ODI,cause their places will be under the scanner by then.
I'd say 4-2 to Aus,with India taking the T20.

And why do Indians host matches in stupid places like this where fire can break out ?
If they wanted it in The Punjab,they could have had it at Mohali.

Anyways, Dravid should be dropped for this match. Bring in KKD for his place, their styles are very similar.
7 batsman are good. I feel Rohit would have been the better number 6 batsman and Dhoni at 7, he just looks far more comfortable there IMO.

Yeah and what if Hayden converts a 60 or 70 into a 140 or 150?
Or Ponting makes a century?
Or Adam Gilchrist makes a century?

Looking tough from India for here. They need to get things to click like they did in the 2020s - everything seemed just right then. The spinners are doing really poorly and the latter part of the Aussies' innings is where we're losing games. The top order has to fire too. Only Tendulkar looks good at the moment.

I feel India wont be rocked by the retirement of our seniors. In fact we will be better served if they leave. Our fielding was not upto the mark yesterday and the stunning saves, the incredible catches in the Twenty20 cup looks a distant dream like Gavaskar has said. Its a strange co-incidence but its true that the presence of the seniors affects the agility of the side badly. Coupled with that, Dravid didnt score and Tendulkar doesnt impose himself on opposition attacks makes it all very tough for the team.

Rahul,Sachin,Ganguly do u think these guys will play in the next world cup?The answer is no.Then why are we wasting our time.Why not play them in the tests and give youngsters chance in the odis.If we lose then no problem atleast we will see the fighting spirit.And vengasarkar today gave the seniors warning "perform or get ready to sit".

I wouldn't really worry about what-ifs, they scored what they scored. Sure everyone is capable of scoring runs against anyone, but it's whether they will or not that makes a difference, not whether they might or are capable of it.

Yup, but assuming that they won't score runs because they haven't in the recent past despite them scoring it over a larger period of time in the past is kind of short-sighted, isn't it?

Vengsarkar doesnt have the guts to drop Tendulkar (the Mumbai lobby will kill him, plus he himself is part of that lobby). Thats why he has generalised it by saying "seniors".

I agree with you. I dont mind the team losing with the youngsters. At least it will tell us what these youngsters are made up of. Get an experienced youngster like Sehwag or Raina or Kaif in. Give chances to Manoj Tiwary, Badrinath, Pujara, etc. Give Yousuf Pathan or Joginder Sharma or Ravindra Jadeja friggin' chance (we need allrounders!). Hope the seniors dont understand that their time is up after the tri-series in Australia gets over. By then, it would be too late. I wish this series gives them something to introspect. Its all in their hands. The selectors wont do anything. Its because of the seniors decision that we had a young team for the Twenty20.
