Agree. CA also think he is the perfect all rounder. So begs the question why is he not playing here? I would not have picked three lefties in the first three spots for starters.. also Head at first drop. If Renshaw returns next match then Ussie should bat #3. I prefer Patterson in the middle order. Not sure he has ever opened for the Blues in red ball cricket. Has Labu ever opened for the Bulls? That way we will have a left/right opening combination.Bit disappointed with this batting effort, besides Khawaja and Labuschagne, nobody got scores.[DOUBLEPOST=1535883112][/DOUBLEPOST]I would also pick Agar for this UAE tour, he's almost like the perfect all-rounder.
He's never needed to, Burns and Renshaw have been great at the opening position. I just went off looking at the squad, i just noticed it lacked right handed individuals to open. For the time being, i would have,Agree. CA also think he is the perfect all rounder. So begs the question why is he not playing here? Sorry @41 FC batting average beats @35. My choice Kurtis Patterson over Labuchagne.. Hell another leftie. Where are all the quality right handers in this country? Agree about Sweppo. There is another promising leggie at home in Daniel Fallins.. also being invested in by CA. I also would have had Jack "the Beast" Wildermuth here over Neser to be brutally honest.Right now, my XI for the UAE tour would be,
1. Joe Burns
2. Matthew Renshaw
3. Usman Khawaja
4. Shaun Marsh
5. Marnus Labuschagne
6. Mitchell Marsh
7. Tim Paine
8. Ashton Agar
9. Mitchell Starc
10. Chris Tremain
11. Nathan Lyon
Other players in squad:
Glenn Maxwell
Peter Handsomb
Micheal Neser
Mitchell Swepson (Jon Holland can jump along as well)
I think they should be investing more into Sweppo than Jon Holland, much rather develop the youngster.
Labu learned all his cricket in Australia.Terrific stand between neser and Labu but Kuldeep just cleaned up Labu (34) @southafrican ready for Australian test team
Aus 237 for 7 = 207 / 7
The most bewildering selection is that of Aaron Finch. C'mon you nongs Finchy is a specialist white ball batsman. While I am pleased for Labu I question why a man with a stronger First Class average in Kurtis Patterson was ommited.
Close but no one can expect Siddle pick over Jhe Richardson.Right now, my XI for the UAE tour would be,
