Australia tour of New Zealand 2010

Alright batting from Southee but why didn't Martin run that second one at the start of the over:facepalm

Harris got to it pretty quickly. Southee wanted 2 but they just couldn't get it.

A 33 run lead just isn't going to be enough. Unless they dismiss Aus for around the same total of around 230-250 then yes, but I'm pretty sure they're going to get stuck into it a build a big total.

So NZ batting continues to be crap. Taylor was lucky to get his 100. Despite his century, it questions the maturity & temperment of the entire Kiwi batting lineup - i.e. Are they fit enough to play tests? No difference between WI & NZ where Taylor has done a Gayle today.

My only hopes were on Sinclair who has done his job quite fairly against Aussies even during McGrath period. Importantly, he has that temperment that suits for tests.

So last week Ross Taylor wasn't good enough to be playing test cricket according to you, now it's the rest of the team? :sarcasm

Yeah of course we have 3-4 guys that aren't good enough for test cricket yet but shesssh give it a rest.

Beautiful example of why the UDRS is so good. That side on hot spot shows it all. Good innings by Taylor, probably not his greatest but it will gone down in the record books as that.

Nah he's best 100 was his 154* against England in England in 2008, got New Zealand to 350 and we should have won it had we not collasped for 150 in the second innings.

TBF to the blackcaps, Its quite outstanding that they even play test cricket let alone can compete with teams like australia, It's not like we have a very big population, and hardly aybody plays cricket over here. :) (good excuse that one:p)

I would not be surprised if Aus bat till Day 4 now and post a lead well over 400

In my earlier post i.e. during last test, I stressed Vettori's dependency & rest going crap. I brought Taylor in picture because he is talented but immatured for tests.

Even this week, I never spoke in favor of Taylor just because he got a century. I did say - he did a Gayle & I never rate Gayle as a test batsman too.

a) Old NZ order which I liked- Fleming, Richardson/Young/Bell, Sinclair, Astle, Mcmillan and Parore
b) Current NZ order - Mr X, Mr Y, Mr Z (inconsistent top 3), Guptil, Taylor, McCullum

Both a & b never looked consistent(excluding Fleming), it was just hit or miss! So NZ going to continue the same without rectifying the gaps?

Bottomline : crap is a crap in whatever way it goes crap. No point in not accepting it :p

Well he didn't deserve that 100 but they all count in the end.

Haha you should have a word with Shane Warne. Everytime someone gets 70-99, he always says that they 'deserved a 100'. Bollocks Warney. You deserve a 100 when you get one. He's just sour he choked on 99.

McCullum is better than Parore ever was. You obviously didn't see much of Parore. He wasn't dependable in the slightest.

And as your your stupid comments, at least unlike the West Indies we're somewhat competing with Australia. Why don't you lay into the Australians for the same thing? Half of them threw their wickets away.

I can think of 3 sides before us who should lose their test status TBH. All have much larger population pools too.

1) My point was not who was better than whom :laugh It was about Inconsistency & irresponsibility! :readit
2) Aussies throwing wickets away? My focus was not limited to this match alone. I meant the entire, Kiwis Vs Top class opponents in recent years. Still that isn't the excuse - Aussies threw away & so Kiwis throwing away is not a mistake? Top class team would obviously utilize the other team's mistake & not repeat it.

I don't even remember any instance of Kiwis beating the opponents - Aus, SA and India with domination! do you? Was 2003 the last one where Kiwis crushed India? On a serious note, I don't remember & it wasn't any sarcasm.

FYI, I am one of the fans of Kiwis since Germon period. Yes, Lee Germon.:sarcasm
