Australia tour of New Zealand 2010

At the moment, it seems that Australia have the upper hand. They could very easily bat NZ out of the match. Highly doubt they will be dismissed for under 300 again. If only one of two other batsmen stuck around with Taylor and got some partnerships going. Things could have been a lot better.

Certainly was a ripper by Watling, hasn't been Ponting's match with a run out and now that to get him out. Hussey better do something this innings or the question marks over his place is going to rise again. Same goes for North.

There was a phase a cople of years back where he was dragging onto his stumps or top edging pull shots. And then he went into the LBW phase a year ago. He seems to get in these dismissal streaks. Maybe one overcompensates for the other somehow.

Katich might have been slow to begin with but hes picked up the pace lately. And Hussey has looked solid for his 50. Really takes the pressure off North who loves coming in after 150.

Katich is as ugly as all hell but seemingly effective. Great run of scores in this series, and all summer in fact. Shows how good our FC bowlers are, North and Katich couldnt get the ball off the square for most of 2010 before this tour.

I have been a fan of his since he came back into the team. He has been performing really well since.

Dare added 2 Minutes and 52 Seconds later...

He also scored the most runs out of any batsman since his return and has been averaging 55.7, not bad for a guy who was cast of in 2005.

Love watching Katich bat. Great to see him doing so well. Very consistent batsman. What I love about him is how he is seemingly always in the 'zone'. He doesn't push for boundaries, or force the issue. He knows that the runs will come if he sticks around.

Good 100 from Katich. He and Hussey are taking the game away from NZ. The only team who can win now is Australia IMO.
