Australia tour of West Indies

Test squad Matthew Hayden, Phil Jaques, Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Hussey, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Simon Katich, Brad Haddin (wk), Ashley Noffke, Beau Casson, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Stuart Clark, Stuart MacGill, Ben Hilfenhaus.

ODI squad Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke, Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Hussey, Andrew Symonds, David Hussey, Shaun Marsh, Cameron White, Brad Haddin (wk), James Hopes, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark.

Very happy to see Katich back in the side. He is definetly more suited to the longer format of the game. Suprised to see only one wicket-keeper on the tour (Haddin). I do hope Bollinger gets a go (now that he has a Cricket Australia contract) but with Lee, Johnson and Clark infront of him I don't see this happening.

Well Good Performance in recent domestics helped Kaitch to get back in the Squad.Big task for Haddin.Hope he will prove himself.

West Indies will shock everyone trust me.
After Beating Sri Lanka in ODI and darwing the Test, West Indies could win against Australia.

People shouldn't underrate West Indies.

West Indies have been improving with Lara, don't mine they are losing, but they are trying.

resently West Indies also pitch in when they top order batsman failed.

We have great talent our new boy S Chattergoon will be the big thing for tour, we will now have to show his true talent against Aus.

hopefully Samuels could be in form after the 2nd ODI against S.L

We have a squad that beat Australia 2 time in the last 5 matches against them.
Winning the ICC trophy 2006 frist round and Triangle series with India.
But Aus beat W.I in the Finals of both and than in the World cup.

With this Wild Squad under the captain of C Gayle can proved deadly sometimes.

So far C Gayle got a Good record as Captain

ODI record as Captain
Played 11
Won 8
Lose 3

Toss won 6

Test
Played 4
Won 2
Lost 2

tos won 2

Well its enchoraging that the west indies beat sri lanka coz if they couldnt they would have no chance against australia.
But they have only just been winning so they need to raise their game. I think it will be tough to win but they are at home so anything could happen.

This tour will be great for the team to try work as a new unit, new players getting used to their key roles, guys returning to dominate with their skills...
It's a great chance for Australia to regroup. West Indies are playing some very competitive cricket so will give a bit more boost to enter the tour with our competitive streak.
Its important we beat the Windies in the ODI fixtures so we can climb ahead of the South Africans. Im really looking forward to this tour!

Welcome to PC Ian.That was good post as It was your 1 post.
Hope You will enjoy your stay like I do.

I think WI will try to do something specially because of their current performance against Srilankans.Gayle has done good as a Captain. Now This will be big series for him.I am first looking forward to see How they will play in last Match without any pressure as they have won the series?

Does anyone know which channel telecasts this series in Australia?

looking at the aus test squad, lots of great batting in there but i really do think this is the weakest bowling line up ive seen in a long time for australia, actually, prob the weakest i can ever remember due to them have such legendary players in there for so long

the only one wonders is if the aussie players did actually need a camp before taking on the windies.

Same bowling line up as the Summer.

Great that we can watch every IPL game live on Ten HD or delayed on regular Ten, but if we want to watch the national team in any international tours we need to pay for Foxtel...
