Australia tour of West Indies

That batting of ours sure doesn't look stable these days. Both Ponting and Hussey bearly making contributions of late and Haddin has been a let down so far, hasn't produced that winning knock that he usually does for NSW.
The top order was reckless. This team of all teams should not collapse because of the pull shot. Sixes are all very well and good, but it would still take a lot of sixes to get 400.

Ponting made 150 in the first test and about 65 last test. So I don't know what you're basing your argument on

Last 2 inns ;) Anyway so use to him scoring 100s each inns hence that comment along with the failure of our other batters bar Symonds forcing us to rely on our bowlers again.

lol your calling a guy and idiot for being honest, unlike that thing on your team that you call a cricket player he is a class act and a way better batsman.
I can only imagine what the Aussies and Symonds would have said if the decision that Rudi made against Sangakkara in the 2nd test in Australia was made against Symonds. how long would it have taken Symonds to walk of.

That was a golden knock. You can't help but appreciate Sanga for not complaining.

Meh i know everyone is saying Australia were throwing away their wickets but i can't help but feel they were under some sort of pressure. Like trying to dominate too much. Stupid really. Didn't give the credit and they're suffering. The more time passes on the more important Hayden is. Can you believe he wasn't in the ODI side 15 months or so ago... he wasn't even first pick back then.

aussies have been in such a situation before too and come out on top so wouldnt write them off.

To be fair to Benson, I can see why there would be doubt in the appeal. Even after the replays, I did not feel they had ruled out the possibility of the ball hitting the thigh guard or even if the ball had hit the glove he took off the bat; I don't think they analysed it enough, at least not in the broadcast I watched this afternoon. I did think it was out for certain immediately after, though.

may be you have some defects in your eyes:mad:,in the sydney fiasco india got the wrong man out,we should have got that bloody benson kicked out,i think when the icc starts using appeals system, australia will be a big loser

Symonds continue his glued feet stance.

It annoys me when I sit down to watch the game highlights, knowing the Windies are well on top, the reporter mentions the Aussies were hit with some fiery short bowling and it turns out that a lot of us got out hooking/pulling short balls. Hopefully they would have learnt their lesson for the second innings. TBH I expected the Windies to get on top early in this test, its now down to them whether they can finish the job that so many have failed to do.

Who knows what could have happened if Symonds wasn't given life lines.

But now I think that our tail will get us up to/over 300. Looking forward to watch an hour or so tonight, should be entertaining.

... I hope Johnson and Casson get hammered to bits and Ponting has to rely solely on Lee and Clark and the part timers. I hope the Windies pile on runs off the back of Johnson and Casson who both concede 5-6 per over. Australia then bat heroically in the 2nd innings putting on large partnerships to wipe the 1st innings deficit and hopefully generate a lead of about 300 for the Windies to chase. In the final innings Gayle will come out and blast a century picking runs at will of Johnson and Casson whilst playing more respectfully against Lee and Clark. Target will be chased down with 5-6 wickets down and the series will be level. Johnson will retire and never be seen again, whilst Casson will be give some further opportunity to prove himself. He will fail like Johnson has and Australia will play 4 frontline seamers for Tests and ODIs until we find the next remarkable spinner.

Shouldn't we be hoping Casson comes out and does really well? I think that would be much more positive, considering their isn't exactly much better in the spin department. 4 seamers in all games would be a mistake, spinners are always very valuable. Johnson is a different story, he is bad and we all know we have better waiting, so I don't mind if he gets tonked:p

Am happy to see all the Umpires are capable of making errors, and ALL the commentators will say just that, some more than others, we have been at the receiving end in this series, however unlike the Indians, we (WIndies) will not boycott, nor threaten the rest of the series, ODIs included. We may very well lose because of the error, but the game(s) will go on.

Good post. Good to see you can accept the decision even though its clearly gone against you and it wasn't the first time. That whole India saga really annoyed me, shows who has the bad attitude in cricket.

Dear god with you get over this already you bandwagoner.

Doesn't look like it'll last too long. Windies will bat soon.

This Lee/Edwards contest is hardly fair! Lee is almost guranteed to last at least 6 overs, giving Edwards 18 deliveries at him whereas Edwards will probably be out before Lee gets a chance at him.

Lol, then bro, its all the better, bounce Lee, Mr. Lee, that is the all-rounder out of the ground, and in front of Edwards home crowd, I love to see that :happy:hpraise:cheers:D
