Australia tour of West Indies

Amidst all the chaos, the idea of good batsmen making big scores on a fast wicket has taken a back seat.

Good start, but this only goes to show that it will be very difficult for us in the 4th innings to take West Indian wickets, especially that of Chanders.

I doubt that he is more concerned about his average, he didn't go all out because he expected his tail enders to stick around for more than 10 balls. if you look at the Aussie innings Lee and Casson faced 40+ balls each. They didn't even try to partner him they just played foolish shots that a tail ender should never try when his team is in a situation like that. Chanderpoual is the guy that should be getting the least amount of blame put on him.

Hey bro don't get me wrong, I am in no way putting blame on Chanders, that would be mad, to say the least, however, that said he should know by now what to expect from our truly, genuine tailenders and play a more positive role when they are in with him.
And by the by, am no fan of the Aussies, their style, attitudes and demeanor can be sickening at times, so do not get me wrong for what am about to say: Brett Lee is by no means a tailender, I consider him an All-rounder.

Chattergoon has rolled his ankle really badly and had to be stretchered off the ground. That would kill!

Brilliant opening partnership here. Currently 0/206 with Katich on 88.

I think Jaques should be looking to up the tempo, and as should Katich when he comes in. We want to give ourselves as much time as possible to get 10 WI wickets, well it's probably 9 now with Chattergoon off to hospital. Sarwan is also struggling with a groin injury as well. So the Windies aren't too well off.

I must admit that the Aussies are sitting rather pretty, centuries by both openers, and a platform set for Ponting, Mr. Cricket, and Symonds. Tough sessions ahead.

271/1 well the day couldn't have been better for the Aussies. Chattergon down and its looking less likely that we will be able to get a draw here.

Well Ponting gone (very soft), but to bank on a draw with 2 days left, 335 on the board and 16 overs still to bowl today, long shot for a draw.

That's more like it from the Aussies. Katich back to his usual Don Bradman form and finally Jaques delives. Jaques seems to love the 2nd inns. Wonder what the selectors will do when Hayden comes back.

That Benn bowler is one of a kind. He's got to be the tallest spinner to have ever played. And he isn't that bad.

We had another in the past, Roger Harper, he was 6-5, played 25 test for WIndies and took 46 wickets @ an avg. of 28.06, with an econ of 2.71. He played between '83 and '93, but of course these were the years that we had a wrecking crew of fast bowlers.

Was a good day's play. Great innings from Katich and Jaques.

Can't believe Pup survived against Big Ben. Was so close to being bowled or edging the ball.
