Australia win the PC Super Cup
After a hard fought final, Australia in the end managed to defeat England and clinch the trophy. It was a great competitive series and Australia despite of a poor start in the tournament, managed to hang on till the end and added another beautiful trophy to their golden collection.
In the last five overs, England tried to make a comeback by picking up three quick wickets. First to go was Watson who was run out due to a superb throw from Peitersen and Watson forgot to ground his bat. Watson made good 25 runs under pressure. Next to go was centurian Jacques who also fell to poor calling and was miles short of his crease. Jacques made 126 runs and received a standing ovation from his team mates while leaving the ground. Bracken soon followed him by giving an easy catch to Pietersen at mid - wicket. At this stage Australia was 260/8 with still 11 runs needed of 10 balls. As England was hoping for the magic to contnue, Australia was hoping that Lee and Gillespie manages to hang on.
Now Australia needed 7 runs to win off last over. Vaughan brought Anderson for the last over and he got Lee caught to Jones off the very first ball. Now Australia needed 7 runs off five balls with one wicket in hand. But Mcgrath and Gillespie managed to protect their wicket and scored the winning runs.
In the end, Australia managed to win a great very close match as Mcgrath and Gillespie brought the team home safely.

The winning run marked the start of celebrations as whole Australian team ran to the ground and hugged Mcgrath and Gillespie. This was definitely a huge moment for the whole team and particularly Ponting.
It was surely a good team performance by Australia as a team.

Welcome back everyone here for the presentation ceremony of the final match of PC Super Cup. A great match we experienced today. I want to thank both England and Australian team for showing us a great game of cricket. I also want to thank each and every person here in crowd to create sucha lively and entertaining atmospehere during the match. I am also thankful to each country participating in the success of this cup. My heratly thatnks to sai for helping me in every part of this series and I have to say without him, I even doubt the start of this great exciting series.
Ok so lets begin the presentation ceremony now. First I would like to invite the losing team captain Michael Vaughan.
RS : Hi Vaughan. A heartbreaking loss despite of a good knock from you.
MV : Yeah its always disappointment to loose after coming this far. But Australia definitely proved themselve a better team then us. I played a good innign for my team but it would have been more special if we whad won.
RS : Despite of a good competitive total on the board. What factors do you think lead to your team's fall.
MV : After making 271, we were very satisfied as this was always a hard chase under lights. But I think our bowlers gave too much away and Jacques played a superb knock today. My bowlers had no answer for his this great inning.
RS : Thanks very much Vaughan and I wish you good luck in future series.

RP : Yeah it was a very close match. I was at corner of my seat for most of the match. In the last over, my heart was beating so fast that even other person can hear it. But it all turned out good in the end.

RP : Yeah it was certainly a special inning from Jacques. He played really well out there and did a special performance. He definitely proved himself as a perfect selection by the management. I have to say that without his superb effort I doubt our success in the final.
