Well actually, looking at the squad again it's probably OK given the little choice they had (now that I've calmed down...
). So what I'm lamenting is a general lack of quality in the players, not the actual selections. Big trouble has been that the only guys putting up their hands to be picked are batsmen (eg Finch, Birt, Hughes etc.) but there isn't enough spots in the top 5. What we really need is some T20 bowlers to start performing: Hilfy and Starc are about the only 2 that have been going well in T20. Guys like Bollinger, Nannes, even Harris have had pretty poor returns recently, while Johnson, Siddle and Pattinson haven't even played T20 in the last year (Patto a couple of games). Same for the bowling of Mitch Marsh and Steve Smith, they've fallen away of late too.
Only changes I would have realistically made to that 15 would be Bailey out for Finch and Doherty probably out too for O'Keefe since he can bat better (and has been bowling better in T20s too). Can understand why Doherty's there though, it's not an outrageous pick. Can understand why Bailey's there too...
