Australian ODI tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, June-July 2010

Awesome, Aussies do always find someone or the other

Great start here from England. Australia have been really poor so far.

Its important that Strauss stays in here as we need to keep wickets in hand; especially when the required run rate isn't too taxing.

I am loving the way England have been playing. Like this in near future or by 2011-2012 they will be real power house in T20 and ODI's.

But they need to maintain the consistancy. Also improve their standards in Tests and this Ashes will be key for England team

Aus gave up. They gave up long time ago. 4-5 years this team would believe and count themselves to pick up the last 5 wicket, get them all out and win the game. They dont have the killer look in their eyes any more.

They are missing Mitch and Lee

Game on? With a long ass Eng tail, the game could twist!

Easy win.

Australia aren't looking good so far and can't lose another match else they'll have lost the series already.

Very accomplished performance from England, we're getting better and better in all forms at the moment. *Touch wood*

^^ Touching is not good enough. You are suppose to knock it. Thats it. You guys will lose the next match. You jinxed em

Didn't watch it but looks like our pacing was all wrong again. Paine is starting to bog down the opening pair while the middle overs are once again a problem. Good to see Smith score some runs again, that should remind that selectors of his batting talent.

Agree, Paine is not scoring freely, never has in fact for Australia so far in his career, i'm not sure he has any other game, in 20/20 he can smack it but only for a short time. I really think Wade would do a much better job, but of course that aint happening. Our top 4 just arent getting the big scores, full blame lies with them, especially the openers and Ponting, its not often they are all going early or for low scores 2 games in a row. We are getting decent little starts too, which is annoying not to have built on that. Our one day team has always looked a little shaky over the past 18 months in spite of good results, I hope our plans dont come unstuck a year out from the WC, like what happened in 2002, but we magically turned that around after a complete disaster of a one day season then v SA/NZ in Aus.

Paine has a few knocks where hes in the acceptable 80 strike rate mark, in those games I remember him scoring freely and I remember the Indian game we he was going at almost a run a ball. But since Haddin returned hes been back to his slow scoring ways that we remember he for in his early career. Definitely agree regarding Wade.

White seems to struggle to score at a consistent rate during the middle overs, he was 45 off 63 balls at the 40th over mark, that is very Clarke like but from the guy that is meant to be our big hitter.

Well at least you know with Australia that any loss REALLY hurts, and they will bounce back strong, its odd to see 2 losses in a row though. The batsmen need to up their game, full strength we are in that department so no excuses.

From memory after we lose the first two game of a five match series we've always bounced back to win the next two.

Gazza added 4 Minutes and 14 Seconds later...

Gotta love Swanny though, what a character.
