Australian Tour of India, October 2010/11

Can this series be cancelled due to Commonwealth excuse? Come on Aussies play security card. Its obvious the Aussie side do not want this tour before Ashes. Ashes is supreme form of cricket.

I'd also slot in Cameron White in there. A terrific batsman with great leg-spinning abilites and could be troublesome on Indian wickets.

:laugh They might as well play with 10 men than have him in test squad.

Better not to be cancelled, I can surely say if India would have fit bowling attack, we would clean sweep them.:D

Wow really? Is that possible that this series could be cancelled due to Commonwealth clash? I would be happy if it happens. Already the side is overworked. Initially I was interested in this series because we were getting more tests, but seeing the way our players are falling due to injuries, we wont lose anything if this series doesnt go on. Also it will preserve the tradition of the Border-Gavaskar trophy between India and Australia where India have to visit Australia next and not vice versa.

From the players point of view, not bad if its cancelled. Let them rest (whatever they get to).

fearsome tweak if it would be cancelled, I am dearly waiting for the series and if it will get cancelled, then fearsome tweak off BCCI.

Poor akshay.. But don't worry it wont be cancelled

There is a greater possibility of the Commonwealth getting cancelled than the Ind- Aus series. :p

Isnt there some kind of scam that has been uncovered about the CWG? I guess that might be scrapped than the Aus-Ind series as icyman says

Yeah, a big scam. The stadiums aren't ready as of now. And there is another scam with the 'cab services' , 'agencies' etc etc and so on and so forth.
Money has disappeared and the BCCI refused to be of any help. All this with less than 2 months to go for the event,so I think its better if its cancelled.

On the other hand, the crowds are more likely to attend India-Aus matches than the C'wealth games.

Why aren't India touring Australia, considering that Australia last toured India as well. FTP is retarded. India never seem to be going out of the sub-continent.

This was actually a 7 ODI series which is now 3 ODI and 2 Test matches.

CWG would be a real shame for India. I was in Delhi last week when i was boarding a train for Bangalore. Stadiums are in very poor condition, there i so much work to be done. Traffic is ugly... Even in Metro there is no space to even take a breather.:facepalm

Kalmadi says the work will finish in time, God is with us.

Sorry bro but rain God is not with you :laugh

My point is that

1. When you tour a country, the country being toured then tours the other country in that series. Australia toured India in 2008, then even had those ODI's, and now they are coming back for another tour. That's not how the system works.

2. Same thing happened with us. We toured India twice for a Test series, both times drawing 1-1. Now India are touring us, but they should have been the ones to tour last time, as we had already done our part of the deal by touring them already.

3. Its like the Ashes series. Australia won't ever tour England two times in a row for a test series. It will keep switching back. So why do India get the gift of having countries tour twice before they go and tour them.

I would just like some clarity on this issue.
