Australia's tour of India 2019

He has done a remarkable job for Mumbai Indians whenever he has batted there barring the last season. When Rohit began opening the batting, it was said he in not suited in that position and was strictly a middle order batsman.

Personal batting positions and numbers are more embedded in fans and followers and not so much the players. They do what is right for the team and at the moment, India can do with his experience in the middle with Dhoni leaving. Rohit is so good that he can tonk it around from ball 1, something even Kohli can't. Dhawan has to open and it is criminal to leave Rahul out any longer in the format. Off the current lot of batters, Rohit is the only one who can basically bat in any situation and the prime reason for that is the time he has to play shots and the range he has.
IN IPL HE CAN BAT IN MIDDLE ORDER. But in international Before 2013 he was Batting in The middle order. He didn't perform well. Then he was made opener by DHONI. AND The rest is history

I don't think we can get returns from him if he is switched back to the middle order. His stroke-making post injury has suffered a lot. He isn't able to get the power in his shot making as he used to get earlier. Previously he used to reach out to the ball using his hands while standing still on the crease. His footwork is pretty much the same but the hand movement have slowed down a bit which doesn't let him score runs when he is new at the crease. He is very much like Dhoni when it comes to his batting, so if we do that then I think we might see glimpses of Dhoni in 2014-15 in Rohit's batting. So no, he shouldn't play in the middle order now

Another atrocious team selection. Shankar is an obvious inclusion but as a mandatory fifth bowler on a wicket with a reputation to be a graveyard for bowlers is plain daft.

So , we are playing with 3 and half bowlers on a Bangalore wicket ? :lol

Dhoni should've been left out for Vijay .

Don't think so because we needed to strengthen our batting after looking at the performance in last match, so having an extra batsman is bit of an advantage

I think the bowlers we have for this match are well capable to win you matches if used well

Dhoni to lose the match now .............

It was Shankar's turn . We know how well he played against Ish Sodhi . Would've been very handy against Zampa .

Manjrekar suddenly thinks Rahul is the second coming of Bradman and Pant a liability. If there was a pest control for commentators, he would die first!!

Dhoni looking a lot more aggressive today and watching the dugout commentary which is better than usual English one.

He is not a liability but he is not needed in this side which already has 2 wicket keepers but Rahul a Bradman ? That is something worst that I've heard. Only player coming close to Bradman was Sachin Tendulkar and maybe Sangakkara but both were still miles away[DOUBLEPOST=1551280953][/DOUBLEPOST]

He answers you today

Almost three decades of watching cricket, not seen a weaker player captain Australia.

Glenn Maxwell is in some form and when Maxwell plays like that then as a opposition you got no chance whatsoever.

We could've batted better. Dhawan looked out of sorts and Pant did not score enough runs and wasted balls. KL Rahul could've scored more runs but he got out unfortunately. Again the bowling wasn't upto the mark and fielders dropped dollies. And once again the fielding placements didn't please me :noway

I am not sure whether Krunal Pandya's bowling suits flat pitches which has less bounce[DOUBLEPOST=1551287681][/DOUBLEPOST]Maxwell seems so mature now from the outset. Maybe he's afraid of losing his place in the side. This is the ideal time in his career to change things around and became a great player of the game !!!

Believe me Australia is going to be one of the teams to beat in the WC. Bring on the ODIs now !!!!
