Oh thank you. That means a lot
Look buddy, firstly your not even Australian. Secondly, it wasn't even a debate aimed at getting you involved. It was something I wanted to know from the Aussies, not you. You always go around poking your nose and getting involved into stuff uncalled for, call them "stupid" when you don't have an answer and NEVER answer the actual question. The question, incase you missed it (as always) was -
As for the Australian cricketers' reluctance to play the 2nd rate West Indies, look buddy, Australian cricketers are nothing special. Their job is to play, not go around commenting in the media that blah blah side is second-rate and they devalue the Champions Trophy, we will not make money when they come home and we don't wanna play them. Thats no players' business actually.
As a cricketer, your job is to play cricket. Thats all ! No histrionics required. And Ponting really needs to stop being a baby :crying
Lets have a look at those who are in that injury list.
All of James Hopes, Brett Lee, Moises Henriques, Nathan Bracken,Tim Paine, Calumn Ferguson have`nt played a single test in the past year. Brett Lee just returned to the side during the England ODIs and so did Paine. Henriques just made his debut. James Hopes makes a living out of only playing ODIs, so he can`t complain either. None of them took part in the IPL either. Nathan Bracken is again a specialist ODI bowler.
So there injuries have absolutely nothing to do with burn out or excessive cricket as its being made to look by the media. Also, most of them are freak injuries like a finger injury or a pulled muscle during a game or in case of Ferguson, a bad fall on the ground during the game. It could happen even if the player played just one game in the whole year.
The only guys in the side who have played in both tests and ODIs constantly these days have been Ponting, Johnson, Watson, Clarke, Hussey and Siddle. Ironically, most of them are fit and I hope we have no further injuries and with McDonald joining the side, I hope we have a 3-3 situation. It would rob cricket lovers in India of some good cricket. It is one place where you see fans thronging to the stadium and we like to watch good cricket,at least I do and that is why I`ll be going to the stadium for the last game.
Hence, some comments like who cares what side the Aussies pick are ridiculous because the fans pay to watch good cricket.
Also, Australia must now consider it as a bonus if Lee is in the side. He gets injuries with such frequency that Australia cannot plan their strategy with him in the side. Something like what we saw with England and Freddie.

And Australia have missed a trick by not picking guys like David Hussey, Dave Warner,Hodge or even Katich in the side. Honestly, I do not see Henriques doing great in International cricket at least with the way he is right now. He might be a talent but it`ll take him some time. I don`t know why the Australians are picking Mark Elham and Ronnie Irani type cricketers these days, ones who can do a bit of both but not specialists.
It has never been the way Aussies have played their cricket. They`ve thrived on specialists and it should be no different even now.
