Australia's Tour of India - 7 ODI's

Good win for us, rather flukey, but still a win is a win.

Dhoni made a big mistake by bringing Harbhajan above Jadeja. It changed the game IMO

Records apart he was averaging around 20 in this series!! So on present form he wasnt good actually!
And please stop trying to be a moral police here!:facepalm

Just 3 matches and you decided that a man is`nt in good form. He looked good in Delhi and Mohali scoring 32 (got run out) and 40. An average does not have relevance when it comes to great players and the average you mentioned was not over a period of time but 3 games, just 3 games. If you want to go by averages he is averaging more than 50 in ODIs in 2009 with 750-odd runs from just 15 matches.

Just check your facts before posting,

Aussies should be kicking themselves for making a mockery out of great winning position!!!
Seriously after scoring 350 your not allowed to let the opposition this close!

A 37 year old out of form batsman completely dominating Aussie bowlers like this is a shame and Aussies need to learn from their mistakes of allowing excessive boundries!

Aussies should be prepared to face the indian BACKLASH now that they are hurt and make sure that the series is settled to bring down the gaint!!!!

Go well Oz in the next game :clap

Out of form? With Tendulkar, you always have to be on your money. Australia wont mind it one little bit that it was Tendulkar who dominated them. It would have been more embarassing had the likes of Yuvraj and Dhoni dominated them. And Tendulkar scored 40 in the previous game before being given a wrong LBW. He is not out of form.

As I said, in the previous innings he scored a 40 and was given a tough LBW decision. And with Tendulkar, this 'out of form' word doesnt matter. One innings, and he will make it seem like he has been the most amazing of forms. And Australia would be foolish if they underestimated a guy like Tendulkar (whose recent scores, apart from this series with scores like 163* and 138, have been very good enough).

Gibbs was out with huge mountain to climb. He laid foundation for win. Did not won it.

It took special effort from whole RSA team to win that one, whereas here Sachin got no support apart from Raina.

Enough of your bickering about India and Sachin.

Quite true. Here, Sachin was the one man army who almost pulled off the improbable. Apart from Raina (and a little from Sehwag), no one gave him support.

Who decides Xi then? Its not the captain. :p

Dhoni decides the XI with input from Kirsten, not Srikanth or his selection team.

Mate... Even if india wins the remanining two games they cant become the NO1. Before the start of the series they had to win like 5-2 to be no 1.... So now they cant!!!! :laugh:laugh

If we win the series, we become No.1 ! Check the equations again, lad :sarcasm

Not really. When Raina got out, the required run rate was at over 7.5 runs per over. Jadeja is not exactly known to be a big hitter whereas Harbhajan has been in very good form with the bat this series. It was the correct move. Sadly it did not work for India.

Its important just to win the series. No. 1 ranking is not important, winning the series is. If we lose, we got to deal with the embarassment of losing to an second string Aussie lineup (when in reality, this Aussie second string lineup will probably compete hard with most of the top teams in the world right now).

Bhajji know how to run between wickets.

When it comes to Tendulkar, all Indian fans share the same emotions:laugh

Yea, agreed. This Aussie team is only as good as teams ranked 4 and below. We shouldn't have allowed them to get away at all last night. But close games are called "close" for a reason. They go in anyone's favor. Australia pulled it off in the 1st game as well. Australia 2- India 0 !

Also, an important thing here to note is that this a rubbish Australian team. They are not GREAT or something like that. The picture being painted by "Aussie" fans here is pretty ridiculous. Even Board President's XI can beat this Australian team. The only thing not going in our favour is that we are not finishing well. Once we sort that out, we can sort out this second-rate Australian team.

One thing is, on wickets like the one in Hyderabad, even ordinary batsmen look really good. And if you bat first, you get the chance to put up a huge total that immediately gives you a very big advantage. With a total like 350 on the board, you will win the game 9 times out of 10 even if you have a second string side.

Australia's 2nd string team is just as good as any top international team.

BCCI probably bribed the so called "injured" players, so Indian fans can see a close series.

The moral of the story is that Jadeja betrayed the entire country, and I would have to hang my head down in shame,if I do see him play again. :noway :facepalm
