Bangladesh in South Africa 2008-09

SA do have the home advantage with their bouncy tracks and their batsmen know how to play in their pitches (Well obviously)

Bangladesh will really have to work hard, the pitches are really different from Bangladesh and they will have to adjust but the Tamim said they are adjusting quickly to all conditions well. So it will be interesting to see how we go this time. If we dont win any matches thats not a problem but we got to put up a fight as we know that last time WI got thrashed 5-0 in RSA.

Shocking!

'Any other top international team definitely would walk away from the series'. It was the way Bangladesh team operations manager Shafiqul Haq expressed his disappointment over the poor hospitality the Tigers so far have received from the Cricket South Africa (CSA) authorities.

It has started from the very beginning of the tour when the players and officials had to stay five hours in the team hotel lobby on November 2 before being checked-in after a fourteen hours journey. Things however got worse yesterday after the completion of the Twenty20 match at the Wanderers Stadium as Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful and man-of-the-match Abdur Razzak had to sit on the dais for forty five minutes only to know that there was no post-match briefing.

The harsh treatment shocked everybody.

Though the players were not ready to focus too much on the negligence from CSA, Shafiqul already gave his report to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by describing all the mismanagement here.

?I already gave my report and accordingly our board made a strong statement to Cricket South Africa. It's amazing the way an international team has been treated here,? said Shafiqul.

?You know our players had to wait five hours at the hotel lobby. Can you imagine it for any other country? There is hardly any security for us,? said an angry Shafiqul.

After all these happenings it may be better not to say anything about the facilities available in the press box of the picturesque stadium in Johannesburg.

One can't be sure when things will actually happen if someone says: "Wait, you will get it within ten minutes."

What else could you have expected from the junglemen!

The Only thing BD can do here is to win a game for some pride. Though BD Defeated SA in 2007, that was in WI were the pitch was slow. Now its a different scenario.

All the best BD.:)

they almost beat them again in 08 when they came over to BD, it test and ODI

But BD has done well against all the teams mostly on slow tracks.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first

huddle up kids

SA in good position though G.Smith,Gibbs not playing, they play really well in all depts of game. They will be targetting score around 270-280

BD cant chase a huge score under lights. SA in commanding position. Amla has just been run-out .

Ontong falls off Shakib's deleivery. He was in a good touch

Now this is bad captaincy: Ashraful took the last powerplay during the last 5 overs of South Africa's innings.

First ball after that decision is that Botha hit a four.

Thats a huge score by SA, I dont think this is gettable for us.

I hate the powerplay rule now, those last 5 overs destroyed the momentum for Bangladesh. Almost all our bowlers were really expensive today.

Ashraful is a stupid captain.Even in the past,we have seen quite a few shocking decisions from the young man.

K,I was'nt aware of the new ruling, but you cant deny that Ashraful has taken some pathetic decisions in the past, thats since he became captain. Also, his own form is that great.Bangla could look at Mashrafe instead.
