Bangladesh Tour of the West Indies 2009

Are the West Indian supporters taking these games for real? There was barely a 100 people in for the first 2 days of the test match. What are Rabs views on this?

Lol, you might see a couple more in today because is Saturday, but believe me more people are home watching the Ashes!!!

It's a bit interesting to see 7 debutants in a single match. Will the strike be solved before odi series otherwise Bangladesh will win it.

What did I tell you about Roach, I was reading the article about yesterday's play and they said he was very impressive.

Anyways the Windies are 76-1 at drinks, how is Austin still out there he is a nightwatchmen for god's sake. WI's are looking very good atm.

Austin's gone, but honestly, Bangladesh are doing terribly.

Just cancel the 2nd test I think, this is almost painful to watch because Bangladesh should be easily on top of this West Indies 'D' side.

Again, Why?

This team isn't that bad.

Seems like Bangladesh are doomed with Mortaza's injury. He has had a lot of problems with his knees, so it's unlikely to be a small setback.

But they're not that good either :p

The batsmen aren't the greatest, I haven't seen a lot of them tbh. But the bowlers aren't that bad. That being said, I wouldn't expect any other test nation to lose to this Windies team.

hopefully its not a serious one, and gets better by today

OMG this is no second string side, there is even more talent in this side than first team. Omar Philips reminds me of Ridley Jacobs and Kemar Roach is a fantastic fast bowler.

Mashrafe's injury is a huge blow, it will be difficult for the bowlers to pick up the wickets now.

Tbh Bangladesh are playing pretty poor. This is the best series to prove their test status but they are just giving it away.

See here's the thing that disappoints me. This was possibly Bangladesh's greatest opportunity to impress. A test victory is going in the right direction as far as defending their test status, even if it is against West Indies 'D' or Zimbabwe.

The best sides take advantage of opportunities like this. This is a golden opportunity for Bangladesh, and they haven't taken advantage of it. Simple as that. All good teams around the world take advantage of the chances they're given (dropped catches, batsman giving their wicket away, etc.).

There's some hope for Phillips among future West Indies teams because he scored a lot of runs against the spinners. Obviously, the West Indies have seen a lot of batsmen who are easily picked off by good spinners, especially openers, but it also means he might not be pigeon-holed as an opener.
