With the kind of history India has, even a total of 380 would not have broken them. The truth is, it was Pakistan's day. Winning the toss, batting first, getting a good total and then getting the wicket of Sehwag, not allowing India to run away, etc. Until the end, India were right there challenging it, and even though some Pakistani fans might not have felt the tension, India challenged Pakistan till the end for the title.

Its very hard to digest India losing a tournament having steamrolled through (the matches they played). But good for Pakistan that they jumped back up at the right time. A captain change, and they will be quite good (I vote for Misbah).

I am very happy with the way Dhoni leads the side. I guess Rohit Sharma is not the ideal No.3 for India. Gambhir should be back to No.3 and Sachin-Sehwag should open the innings. Yuvraj should be sent above Yusuf (who should be given chances, he played well today).

Waiting for the Asia Cup. Hope we can win that tournament (we are well equipped to win it)

Sehwag IMO doesn't deserve a spot in the side and once Sachin comes back, he'll be the one to go.

I think that its time we leave Irfan out of the ODI side in the matches played in the subcontinent. His bowling is looking woefully out of sorts and his batting cannot win matches single-handedly.
I`d have only one of the two brothers in the side because of the similar kind of roles. I`d go with Yusuf in the subcontinent beacuse his bowling can`t do much better or worse than Irfan in the subcontinent while his batting can be potentially destructive in these conditions.
The spot vacated by either of them can then be taken by a proper top-order batsman or a frontline-bowler.

My Lineup would be :
Gambhir
Sehwag
R Sharma
Yuvraj
Raina (Sachin to replace him when he is back and open the innings with GAmbhir coming in the middle order)
Dhoni
Yusuf Pathan (he is certainly not indispensible and can be replaced by either Irfan or a top order batsmen or frontline bowler)
RP Singh/Sreesanth
Chawla
Praveen K
Ishant

I think we have the arsenal to blow teams away and just need some fine-tuning an balancing act to do.
Does anyone agree with ,me on the fact that India seem to struggle more in the subcontinent these days than overseas. Our bowling is alot more suited for pitches abroad and our batting manages to hold its own on those pitches as well.

We tend to give away 300+ scores far too easily while playing in the subcontinent.

I remember, when Pakistan Lost the last match against India, then all Pakistanies in all Pakistani Forums were trying to suggest New Team Replacements and Batting Order etc.

But when they won final, they didn't do this but only celebrated. But after finals it was turn of India to find out the weak links in their team, either in replacing batsmen/bowlers or changing batting Order.

Indian Batting line is superb and will come back strongly.

Any how, never under-estimate Pak Team. They are beasts on given day and will bulldoze any Indian team with and any best possible combination.

OFCOURSE the players hav different uniforms and citizenships thats all
otherwise both of the teams are almost same

It's the exact same squad. I'd have Gambhir and Sachin opening with Badri at 3 if our number 3 woes carry on for longer, but I reckon Gambhir at 3 and Sachin + Robin may not be a bad choice.

Sehwag may be on fire now, but like always, he'll soon hit the deck in ODIs.

No.3-India needs a reliable person to play at the position.With Sachin in,you have Gambhit at 3,else you have turmoil.Tiwary and Badri may get a chance against the Lankans.
