Bangladesh v India - 2 Test Matches, January 2010

What a random way to end a match. 2 runs needed and its leg byes.

Always thought it will be Sehwag's rocket short to wrap it up.

Zaheer - always trusted him as he is currently the best in our struggling bowlers camp.

what a turnover 290-4 and 312-10?!

Typical Bangladesh batting performance.

When the top order fires, the lower order fails and vice versa.

Last 7 wickets for 22 runs.

What a turn around but Zaheer has to continue his form in SA also.

BTW if anyone has missed then here it is trivia from cicinfo
Trivia This isn't the first time a team has chased down a target without any of their batsmen scoring a run. It has happened at least once before, when a no-ball from Syed Kirmani gave West Indies a win in Barbados in 1983.

Good stuff from Zaheer. I know this is Bangladesh, but it shows yet again I think that he's the best bowler with the old ball in Test cricket. It's a shame that he isn't AS effective with the new ball though, he doesn't seem to swing the new ball much at all. Nevertheless, a very good bowler.

To be fair to him, there are very few people who take wickets with the new ball in the subcontinent. The Aussies and the English seamers struggled in India with the new ball last season, so did the Lankans last month.
There is more help for the bowlers with the old ball than with the new ball in the subcontinent, We`ve seen in the Zaheer does get some swing with the new ball when the conditions suit the seamers like we saw in England and NZ. He was actually really good in SA last time around but I don`t think the figures would suggest that. He got injured in the first test of the series in consecutive tours to Australia when he promised a lot in the first test.

Dhoni's unbeaten streak continues. :)

A very shoddy performance from Bangladesh. They should have shown some spirit after that fantastic innings by Tamim Iqbal. Had they hung on for atleast 150 runs, which was very much possible, they would have achieved a psychological victory.

I just can't help wondering what is the point of this series/result. I think the deshis should put Rahim up the order, but they have little quality let alone depth. Good hundred from the opener, but was the result and series result ever in doubt? Even when the deshis bowled India out relatively cheaply in the 1st Test you knew the Indians would win either by bowling the deshis out for next to nothing, or would bat far better in the 2nd innings.

Maybe if the deshis played Pakistan, New Zealand and West Indies on a regular basis and none of the rest they might improve, but no guarantee. Personally I think they might benefit from playing Ireland, Scotland et al more but ICC will unlikely demote a side.

Bangladesh, Ireland, Kenya and Zimbabwe should be playing each other more often. Even if they are unsanctioned test matches.

LOL. its exactly what i said would happen. i knew they wont cross 87 (or w/e they trailed by) and loss by an innings. except they didnt loss by an innings, but i was close ...

i knew this b/c when ever top order does something middle order would just give it up.
