There is no way a Indian Can be best Batsmen of the Decade....It has to be Aussie or Aussie:hpraise:hpraise:hpraise
Lol @ all the points saying Yuvraj does'nt have good temperament. Anyone remember the Natwest final against England a few years back where he took India to victory with Kaif chasing 326? Remember his innings against W.I in India where India chased 325? Remember the 70 off 30 balls knock against AUS in the T20 WC Semi-final? Remember his 84 on his debut ODI against Australia in the 2000 Knockout Tournament(For your information, that Oz bowling attack had Mcgrath, Gillespie and Lee in it. So, an excellent bowling attack)? There are loads of innings I can list to prove that Yuvraj is a better ODI player than KP. So, the point that Yuvraj does'nt have a good temperament is baseless.
Michael Bevan was not a good test batsman either but you can't say KP is better than Bevan by just collecting loads of stats(which dont mean much IMO) and posting them in a message. My conclusion:
KP > Yuvraj in tests.
Yuvraj > KP in ODIs and T20.
My basis is that Yuvraj is more experienced than KP in ODIs. KP comes in at the top of the order and helps England build an innings whereas Yuvraj comes down the order at 5, 6 or 7 and helps India comeback from a collapse and re-build an innings when the top order fails. The situations that these two guys face are different and Yuvraj is mostly under more pressure than KP. Yuvraj has played 200 odd matches and there is no guarantee that KP will able to maintain his 50+ average when he has played as many matches as Yuvraj. I never brought up the six sixes in an over point at all, but will use it if Broad becomes a legend in the future like Freddy. Broad has got a lot of potential being in his early 20s.What exactly is your basis for saying Yuvraj is better than KP in ODi's? A few good innings and hitting 6 sixes in an over don't prove anything. KP's been far more consistant, and if we're talking about cracking debut's. What about KP's debut in the country of his birth, getting booed to sin, yet scores 3 hundreds in a series that England were hammered in. The South African fans turned his back on KP when he made his first ton, but by the end of that series he was being applauded for his efforts. That's far more impressive than an 84 against Australia. KP scored 88 against Australia, playing half the innings with a broken rib.
The stats are in KP's favour, he's got a better technique, and is widely regarded to be a class batsman. Yuvraj is only hyped by Indian's, he's played a few good innings, but so's Jamie How, doesn't mean he's going to be lauded as better than Ponting. The only thing we can truely compare players on is the stats and possibly even technique, and KP's stats are FAR better than Yuvraj's, and also KP's batting has far fewer technical deficiencies than Yuvraj.
