i think suicide is going a bit too far...you know...he would have thought about his family and stuff...

Is his death under investigation by the police, anyone knows?
According to cricinfo he was found lying in his own vomit (correct me if I'm wrong, or mis-spelled it), so that would be a poisoning I think but that's not the way I'd kill myself.
But for now, it's pure speculation and it's only very said for the game, all cricketers and his family.

it might have been a sudden heart attack...you never know...until you know for sure...

Mohammad Asif was extremely sad on his interview with Geo, he said that Bob once told him that he would be a world class bowler even after he was caught for doping. He also said that the team would teach Bob urdu once in a while. Inzi has said that he has lost the best coach in his entire career.

I guess we have to just wait for the autopsy to confirm the cause of his death.
Will they release that information to the public?

well why shouldn't they miss him...he was a great coach with a great personality and every cricket lover would miss him...

You never really know. Maybe he had some other personal problems and that this loss was just enough for him.

OMG !! this is shocking
RIP Bob woolmer ! we'll miss you !
i just turned on the computer to find any updates on the WC,planetcricket
etc...and when i saw this thread..i was shell shocked.

i guess the reason for his death would be due to heart attack caused
by high levels of psychological/emotional stress.
we'll have to wait for the autopsy to confirm it.

Wow, the Indian media takes this stuff too far. There is no need to say that the players didn't get along with him because that is plain lying. Most of the players respected the coach and the nation also did. There are some angry people, that's cause Pakistan is out of the WC, and their are always due to be angry people. I'm sorry, because if this was India instead of Pakistan, a lot more would've happened.

Indian media? What?

I feel a bit responsible for Woolmer's death really. If Ireland hadn't of beaten Pakistan would he still be alive?

Just to clarify this is the number one cause of death when someone is unconcious. Basically they end up on their back and then choke. This is the reason you check the airway is clear and then put someone into the recovery position.
Interestingly Pervez Mir has said that Woolmer did have some kind of pre-existing medical condition but no information as to what.

Don't be ridiculous.
Malcolm Speed has reminded everyone that yesterdays victory for Ireland was really a victory for Woolmer too. He had been instrumental in developing the associate nations of whom Ireland are one.
