And Keegan did play in my game. He was batting at 8.

I'm not sure why they didn't play Keegan. Maybe it was a spinning pitch? Murtaza is a more than equal replacement for him though.

And nope I don't use custom fields :p That's why there was a slip in the powerplays lol

Nice table too

I never used to use custom fields, the only time I use them now are in the batting powerplay, when I take out the two slips that are in the most defensive field your allowed to use in it.

I'm normally a good bowler in OD so I should go alright in OD as long as I bowl first. If i bat first, they just go for it and get it easily. FC, I'm not as good a bowler though and the batting isn't very good, so I'll probably finish last in FC.

I tried using those fields in ICC 2009, and they were not that great at all.

Worcestershire vs Glamorgan
County Championship - D2
27th April 2010

Teams:

Worcestershire

1. Phil Jaques
2. Daryl Mitchell
3. Vikram Solanki*
4. Moeen Ali
5. Alex Kervezee
6. Shaaiq Choudhry
7. David Wheeldon
8. Imran Arif
9. Ben Cox?
10. Matthew Mason
11. Alan Richardson

With Shakib away at the T20 world cup, it meant we could bring in our reserve overseas player, Australian opener Phil Jaques. This would mean our captain Solanki, as well as Ali and Kervezee would all drop down one place. Leg-spinning all-rounder David Wheeldon would also retain his place as our sole spin bowling option, and Ben Cox would also be given the gloves.

Glamorgan

1. Gareth Rees
2. William Bragg?
3. Sachin Tendulkar
4. Jamie Dalrymple*
5. Mike Powell
6. Jim Allenby
7. David Brown
8. Robert Croft
9. James Harris
10. Adam Shantry
11. David Harrison

By far the weakest of the sides we've versed so far this season, but down at number three is the player who separates the two teams in terms of their strength on paper, none other than Sachin Tendulkar.

Toss:

Worcestershire won the toss, and chose to bowl first.

Match:

Glamorgan - 252 all out

Moeen Ali 111
Phil Jaques 64
David Wheeldon 40

Adam Shantry 4-59

Sachin Tendulkar 104 (Dropped twice FFS!)
Robert Croft 37

Alan Richardson 3-53 (26 overs)
Matthew Mason 3-55 (31.2 overs)
Imran Arif 2-59
David Wheeldon 2-72

Worcestershire - 176 for 2

Points:

Glamorgan 8
Worcestershire 8

MOTM:

Sachin Tendulkar (12 and 104)

Reaction:

So close to our first win, but in the end it slips away. We easily played the better cricket, but in the end 2 hours and 12 minutes of rain on the first day is what cost us the win.

David Wheeldon's bowling was spot on in their first innings, he sparked a day one pre-tea collapse with three quick wickets, keeping us just ahead of the game. Our pace trio went alright in seamer friendly conditions, and if it wasn't for Gareth Rees they would have been bundled out for under 200.

Our innings was built on scores from Moeen Ali and Phil Jaques, and at one stage he were pushing for a big first innings lead. But once again our middle to lower order failed to come to the party, including a golden duck to one of the worst keepers in the ICC 2010. Wheeldon's 40 could only help us edge out a small first innings lead, because of our middle order failure.

We had to do some damage up top if we wanted to win the match, but that never really happened. We got an early couple of wickets, but we made one of the biggest mistakes in all of cricket, dropping Sachin Tendulkar not once, but twice. We were always picking up wickets at the other end, but it was the time we spent out in the middle fielding that was what killed our chances of winning the match.

We would head into our second innings needing only 206 to win, but with just one session and 20 minutes to chase it down in. There was not really much I could do as I didn't want us to collapse, but we tried to keep the required run rate under control. Jaques and Mitchell played really well, but in the end the occasional maiden over was what left us just 30 runs short. We probably would have ended with all 10 wickets intact, if it wasn't for both Mitchell and Solanki hitting out.

By far our best effort of the season, but still only good enough for us to grab eight points. Still our major concern lies with our only specialist keeper, who just isn't up to first class standard.

A very close game, if only you had made the most of your chances! Rather funny that you play your keeper at 9 :p

Well the bowler at eight made 84 in my last match CC match.
Doesn't the keeper have a 2nd team average of under 20 or something?
I'm probably going to put Mason above him in my next CC match as well.

In real life he bats beneath Gareth Andrew lol

I'll post my entry tomorrow morning/early afternoon. Going out soon and won't be back till around midnight.
