C09 HELP: Having trouble running the game? Read here first

The game is not working for me either which is really surprising given my high specs. Installs fine, but when I click the .exe file to start the game, it loads up but then just freezes on the Codesmasters/Transmissions "All rights reserved screen"....have to go to Task Manager to exit the game then...any help???

My specs are:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz
4 MB RAM
NVIDIA GEForce 8800GT
Windows Vista

Well, it sometimes happen. The installation procedure which they have kept is a complicated one. :sarcasm

Basically, it extracts the demo installer to the temporary files & the demo exe gets triggered after that. After installation, they cunningly clean all the files from that temp folder.

So for this, you need really double the space in hard disk required for installation. 2 GB free hard disk should be fine, though after installation, it occupies just the game's size.

The game won't even start. I have a dualcore with 3gb of ram and a 9500gt.

Have trouble running the game. Read this before posting.

Question 1.) When I run Cricket 2009 exe nothing happens and when I retry to run it error comes "Other instance is running"? What to do?

Answer:

1) Right click on Taskbar (The bar in bottom of your screen with Start and all icons on it)
2) Select Task Manager
3) Select Processes tab
4) Select Cricket 2009 and click End Task
5) That will close your instance of cricket 2009
6) Try to run Cricket 2009 by right clicking on it and selecting Run As Administrator. XP users will find option of "Run As" when they right click on file.

Question 2.) My game crashes with error "Direct 3D 9 Window"?

Question 3.) I receive the message "Your system is low on virtual memory"?

Answer: This occurs when you have low RAM available to run the game and/or virtual memory. Cloase all programs that are running. Especially anti virus and firewalls. Increase the virtual RAM of your computer. This game uses 5G of memory space.

Its technically not a download problem, I've been trying to install the game on a different partition but it keeps installing in C: and I haven't got enough space on it!

I tried manually choosing the directory as well as typing it in in the custom installation screen!

Can anyone help?

P.S I'm running the latest windows installer.

Mine has massive lag. The game is nowhere near perfect and optimum speeed.

I have 6 gigs of RAM on my computer too!
