problem

Hi!

I'm new here...i can't seem to reinstall ashes 2009 for some strange reason. I was having trouble with the game so a friend suggested I uninstall it and then reinstall but making sure the antivirus is disabled but it wont reinstall....

when i click on installation it gives me 3 options, modify, repair and remove each one of the options gives an error saying, 'error-1605- This action is only valid for products that are currently installed'

ive deleted the codemasters folder from my dir, and i get the same 3 options whether i go through autorun or the setup.exe file...

my friend mentioned someone would be able to help with the issue so i would greatly appreciate if someone can help me out!

Thanks a bunch!

i have the same problem.....please help me ....i really wish to play the game....

These are the system requirements for Ashes Cricket 09,

If you do not meet them, you will have trouble getting the game to work.

If you are unsure, click the Start button, click run, and type in Dxdiag. The information in the Display tab is important, if it says something about an Intel GMA chipset, you probably won't be able to run the game.

For help on what it all means, click the save all information button and post that here (as an attachment). Try to give information about any error messages you get, and mention if you are using the retail version or the demo.

Ah! Cleared the question before being asked.

:(

My game isn't running well in medium or High graphics. It is getting strucked /running in slow motion.
But in low graphic setting with highest resolution it is working well.
Any suggestions to get crowd sounds .Tell me whether my laptop is compatible or not.
Thank you

I tried the trick with Media playing in the background and low and behold.
The game now runs smooth as glass with full graphics and crowds on.
Well done guys. thanks for idea

Well the WMP fix didn't work for me...
Has anyone else suffered with this problem:

My day games are running at about 4 FPS, my night games (20/20 for instance) are running perfect and smooth. I just can't understand this, surely it should either run properly or not at all? What is the difference in coding/graphics between day/night games?

Heeelp! Thanks!!

I think this is a bug or a glitch.
