Story c2005- Pakistan vs West Indies Bank Alfalah Test Series- Patron's XI vs W.I- Stumps

Raza is going well in one end but no support for him in other end now! But still, Raza can take Patrons to the score around 300+!

Nice presentation as always :clap

SKIPPER MAKES SUPERB 100!

Day One. 3:15 PM

PATRON'S XI: 225/5

001-1.jpg

Rameez Raja: Well, what a superb innings this has been! Hasan Raza came to the crease when his team were one down without a run on the board, and he has guided them for more or less the whole day to this total. It's been an amazing knock from the skipper, and what a quickfire century as well- The hundred coming off just 115 balls. Raza has been the foundation of the Patron's innings, but he'll have to stay at the crease for a while yet if his team are to put a competitive total on the board.

PATRON'S XI: 230/5

Rameez Raja: We're past the 50th over, and finally Chris Gayle is coming into the attack. Lara held him off for quite a while, preferring the spin of Banks, but now it seems that the two spinners will be operating from both ends. Taking the pace off the ball may help in slowing down the Patron's runrate, but I think that the Windies need to be aggressive right now and go for wickets instead, because if they fail to press home their advantage then Raza can easily take the match away from them.

PATRON'S XI: 237/5

Rameez Raja: What a sight to behold- The man at the other end in none other than former Pakistani wicketkeeper Moin Khan. He retired a few years ago, but he's still been fairly active on the domestic circuit and it's great to see him back. This is most probably his last match ever against an international team, and maybe his last ever competitive cricket match. Moin will definately be hoping to end his career with a memorable innings.

Excellent 100 and also the presentation! :clap Patrons still in drivers seat!

Good hundred by the skipper. Not a bad score so far by the Patron's XI

RAZA DEPARTS JUST BEFORE TEA!

Day One. 3:30 PM

PATRON'S XI: 259/5
001-2.jpg

Rameez Raja: And as we neared tea, Moin Khan got settled at the crease and started to hit out against the two spinners. He was not too aggressive, as he knew he had to provide his skipper with support and thus often rotated the strike.

PATRON'S XI: 273/6

002-2.jpg

Rameez Raja: But alas, just on the brink of tea Hasan Raza was finally dismissed. Banks bowled a quicker one and Raza must have let his concentration slip, as he was caught unawares and stuck his bat out, and in turn sending the ball straight back into Bank's hands for an easy catch! The West Indian players are estatic; they have got the vital breakthrough that they were looking for! But Raza looks utterly disappointed; he could hardly believe it and now is slowly making his way back to the pavilion in great disappointment. The skipper goes for 132, though he feels he could've made more! And with the dismissal of Raza, the umpires call for tea and the two teams walk off, with the game finely balanced. Although it must be said that the West Indians will be the happier of the two teams.

SESSION STATS:

OVERS- 30
RUNS- 108
WICKETS- 4

Hasan Raza- 132
Moin Khan- 27*

Windies are definitely going to struggle later as the quality spinners are missing in condition like this!

Well played Raza! Patrons are very comfortable now!
Nice & Neat presentation as always! :clap
