Champions League Twenty20 2011

MI fielding 5 overseas? Wtf. How and why?

Where were you all these days :D

They have 8 injured players of 23. So they were left with 8 indian and 7 foreign contracted players. So instead of getting some Indian players they requested they use 6 Indian and 5 Foreign players. Since they were going to lose to CSK anyway the board president (and CSK owner Mr. Srinivasan) accepted their request :lol

Still think MI have a chance with Malinga hitting those big shots. And Bhajji is still in there too. Come on Chennai, FINISH THIS!!!!:yes

Holy Crap.... How did Mumbai Pulled that one off. Awesome stuff from Malinga... Great start to Champions league. Already 2 great matches in 2 days

Holy crap, poor poor bowling from Bollinger and Morkel. Yeah cant blame Bollinger much because the guy has won us trophies from nowhere, but Morkel's inconsistency always has hurt us a lot. A few good games keeps him always in the side, but its high time Chennai finds a better and more consistent fast bowling all rounder. Dhoni could have bowled Bravo for an over more (Bravo bowled really well and on this wicket, the slower bowlers got more success than the bowlers with pace on the ball).

Having dominated most of the match, its so frustrating to lose the match to a batsman like Malinga.:mad DAMN IT!!!!

Starc's T20 record is pretty damn ordinary and an inexperienced attack could have done with someone with Clark's brains.

Agree Clark's experience should have been a given not to mention that was a track more for him than Starc.

But it was Smith and Henriques that did the damage, they spent 4 overs scoring **** all. Regardless of the pitch it was an ordinary effort as they have both played a lot of T20 now.

Smith hasn't struck the ball well since making the Australian side, haven't seen him play a fast innings in ages. I think we can officially write off Henriques as a big hitter that Mark Waugh use to label him as.

Hughes should have been in the side, him and Warner formed a stable opening combo for us in the inaugural Champions League and it provides a bit more stability to the wobbly batting lineup.

Welcome to the club, not the first time he's done that!

Goes to show how much care about this tournament. Dom T20 without a Pakistani team?

Either ways this is the most stupidest rule ever in the CL, and thats saving something considering the qualification, the teams allocation, Pakistan being chucked out. It just seems the only way CLT20 can be a considered a "success" is when an Indian teams wins on Indian soil.

Haven't watched a ball since it started except for last over b/w KKR and Auckland in qualifying round. Take only 2 IPL teams and then I will watch real CHAMPION League. Hope this year CL fails to get TRP because of exceeding IPL teams.

Klinger & now Borgas is out. That ends any slight hope South Australia had.

Jon-Jon Smuts can expect a IPL contract in the mail tomorrow, if he hasn't already been given one. :p

It's funny, both Aus teams went for 3 spinners, but both have found themselves disadvantaged against tight medium pace.

Balaji in..Gambir trusts balaji...which is good for his confidence. Balaji was good in IPL except the last two matches.

The definitely care about the competitiveness of the tournament. Let us not go discuss Pak. Both BCCI and PCB have too much ego (add the political problems).

CSK won in SA lost year and it was a success.

KKR v/s Somerset

Pathan, woefully short of runs, was waiting like a hungry tiger and there he is...pouncing on Suppiah :D...Poor man...30 runs of one over...:lol:lol

Another relatively simple win for Somerset, despite trying to make it hard for ourselves. The only criticism I have is that we're sending Waller and Gregory home, yet keeping 4 pace bowlers in the squad despite only playing one in Thomas. I hope we don't get any injuries as we could be painfully short. Kieswetter and Buttler should be back for the next game too, so that should remove a couple of weak links.
