Australian captain Ricky Ponting makes his way to the crease looking to establish a partnership with Michael Hussey they took it slow with the spinners turning the ball on a pitch which looks like its in the fifth day. Hey Rob, you seem to have a very interesting game there, why don't you start your own story? I am sure people would love to read it.

@Griffo, that looks like a typical result by the former Bangladeshi team-when they bat well, they end up bowling poorly, and when they bowl well; they end up bating poorly. Nevertheless expect a good comeback from the Banglas.

Day 2 Session 2

Michael Hussey and Ricky Ponting took it slow at the start of the session but they both eventually made their 50?s and look primed to continue dominating the Bangladeshi bowlers.

The Australian batsmen continued to move forward with the Bangladesh spinners looking flat even though the conditions couldn?t be anymore in their favor. Ricky Ponting survived a close run-out decision that went to the third umpire on 70 but other than that nothing was happening for the Tigers.

Michael Hussey then went to work a ball to the leg side from Mohammed Rafique but caught an edge that went straight through to Mushfiqur Rahim. The opener departed for 64 of 170 balls and Australia were 175 for 2 trailing Bangladesh by 96 runs.

Phil Jaques then came out to the middle but moments later Mohammed Rafique had another wicket trapping Ricky Ponting infront for 85 bringing Justin Langer to the crease.

Justin Langer and Phil Jaques were well on their way to the end of the second session until a brilliant delivery from Mashrafe Mortaza clean bowled Phil Jaques for 22 leaving Australia with a bit of work to do if they are to dominate this game.

Shane Watson came in and made it to the end of the over and the end of the session with Australia 210 for 4 trailing the Tigers by 61 runs. The next session will prove a vital one with each teams position in the game to be decided by the end of the day.

Australia 1st Innings - 210/4
(Ponting 85, Rafique 2-69)

Current Batsmen
J.Langer 7 (19)
S.Watson 2 (6)

Current Bowlers
M.Mortaza 10-0-27-1
S.Rasel 21-1-54-0

Session Highlight - Mashrafe Mortaza?s delivery to Phil Jaques pitching outside off stump hitting the seam and hitting the top of off stump.

Rafique's two wickets will prove to be crucial later in the match, now let's hope the Bangladeshi bowlers do not give the new Aussie batsmen a chance to settle.

Day 2 Session 3

The Bangladeshi bowlers came out looking to get some quick wickets and leave as little work for their batsmen to do as possible. Justin Langer and Shane Watson on the other hand seemed to have a different idea until Mashrafe Mortaza took his second wicket making the vital breakthrough of Justin Langer.

That only brought the in from Adam Gilchrist to the crease, Shane Watson rode his luck edging a few balls and playing and missing but eventually his luck ran out, trapped infront by Mohammed Rafique and Bangladesh are into the tail.

Brett Lee walks out from the pavilion but he didn?t last very long, Mohammed Rafique claiming his 4th scalp and Bangladesh are in this match with a very good chance of winning.

Shane Warne walks to the pitch but the Australian batting keeps collapsing this time Abdur Razzak taking the big wicket of Adam Gilchrist clean bowling him for 13 runs.

Number 10 batsmen Jason Gillespie comes out with Australia still 15 runs behind the Bangladeshi total but Mohammed Rafique?s amazing spell of spin bowling continues clean bowling Shane Warne and bringing his figures to 5-86.

Glenn McGrath walks out and meets Jason Gillespie in the middle of the pitch, both batsmen looking very determined to add a few runs, which cannot be counted out after what they did to New Zealand a few years back. Jason Gillespie hit two consecutive fours off Abdur Razzak but as soon as Glenn McGrath was on strike he made the break through clean bowling the pigeon and giving Bangladesh the first innings lead by 6 runs.
