Story Coming Of Age - A Bangladesh Story [ICC 2006]

Day 2 Session 3

The Bangladeshi openers will be hoping that they get to the end of the day without the loss of a wicket to maximize their advantage over Australia but Tamim Iqbal’s run off poor form continued getting out for Having scored just 14 runs in 4 test match innings it leaves you to wonder whether he will be playing in the one day internationals.

Aftab Ahmed makes his way out to the middle looking to consolidate the innings but Shariar Nafees gets clean bowled by Brett Lee and Bangladesh are struggling at 2 for 8 with a lead of just 14 runs

Day 3 Session 1

Bangladesh are looking for a partnership to give their bowlers something to defend but the Australian pace bowlers are looking lethal with Shane Warne on a turning pitch still to come. The collapse continues with Glenn McGrath clean bowling the Bangladesh captain and Bangladesh are looking very vulnerable at 4/40.

All-Rounder Saqibul Hasan comes to the crease and Bangladesh could really use some runs from him but Brett Lee continues his sharp bowling hitting over 150 kph consistently clean bowling Saqibul Hasan with the 17 year old wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim coming out from the pavilion.

Aftab Ahmed and Mushfiqur Rahim start to build a partnership together countering the bowling of Shane Warne and Brett Lee and Aftab Ahmed reaches his half century, a brilliant innings full of creativity and classic cricket shots with wickets falling all around him. The Tigers need him to go on to his century if they are any chance of winning this game.

They continue to score runs consistently and end the session with a 152 run lead and full of confidence after taking apart the best bowlers in the world and Shane Warne having little effect on a spinners pitch. If they can continue this they are in with a really good shot of winning with anything over 200 being hard to chase.

Ok stuff from Bangla and this partnership is brilliant. Just a few things, could you please add the lead below "Bangladesh 2nd Innings - 146/5" please?

Also are you going to do as the poll votes came out as? With a pic for every wicket, landmark & record...

Gret bowling by Rafique, Mashrafe and Razzak. Their batting score is taking shape now, hope they can maintain it :D.

Ahmed brang them back on track. Good partnership here. I like your pres mate. Myabe every wicket like you used to be doing will be too hard so i think 2 graphics will be good. 1 Is still good.

Day 3 Session 2

The Bangladesh batsmen came back out looking to continue their magnificent work previous session. With just one shot Mushfiqur Rahim brought up his 50, brought up the 100 partnership and set a new partnership record against all countries. Aftab Ahmed is just 18 runs short of his first ever test century after playing brilliantly against the Australian attack.

Mushfiqur Rahim started to take up the attack to the bowlers after his landmark moving quickly to the 80?s while Aftab Ahmed moved slowly towards his century until Glenn McGrath came into the attack hitting 2 consecutive boundaries to take him to 100 off 176 balls.

Just two overs later Aftab Ahmed edged a Brett Lee delivery through to Adam Gilchrist and was dismissed for 105 after a massive 158 run stand between himself and Mushfiqur Rahim, a partnership which has changed the course of the match

Mohammed Rafique joined Mushfiqur Rahim at the crease looking to create another partnership like the one they produced in the first test. Mohammed Rafique continued to be positive with the bat scoring 34 off just 41 balls until the end of the session came about. The Tigers have put two good session together and if their tail can add a few runs they will have Australia on the ropes.

Well great abatting by Ahmed and the partnership was great! Bangladesh fought themselves back into the game well. Keep up the awesome presentation mate! Be proud ;)

That's a fair effort! Getting your Maiden Test Hundred against the Might Aussies! Well Done! Nice story Griffo, nice and easy to read!

Awesome effort by Rahim and Aftab! Great maiden test century for Aftab also, very well deserved :clap
Rahim close also and if Rafique can stay there, the Aussies will be chasing a demanding total...

Bangladesh is advancing quite nicely, if they can continue this for then who knows, a victory might be awating them.
