Commentary Thread

Ziauddin exercises his lissum wrists, superciliously dismissing that ball for four. The keeper loudly objurgates the bowler for the exiquity of skill involved in that delivery. I'd like to take this chance to thank my mother for bringing in my dictionary.

:laugh

Nice win Syl..In my match, another easy win today :D

And that's the end of the match. HuntingTigers won by 9 wickets.

Abdul kadir 2-0-18-1
Bishop* 19 (10 balls)
Malik 16 (5 balls)

How the bloody hell did I lose today!!?!
I was playing a team that was woeful all round and still lost by 5 runs! Although, it was probably because I TIE.

TIE again today, another easy win. I'm going for TIE apart form my last game where i will GFI because i should qualify then. 104 off 60 for the keeper Cockerill, he's rubbish at batting. 103 off 56 for Blair, he's amazing. 221-1 at the end. Bolwed them out for 115 Hockley with 5 wickets. Everyone else bowled well too but that was a pretty crushing win. Again :D

Bad start. Big wicket of Robinson.

1.1 W Roberton to Robinson
Roberton follows the ball down the pitch aggressively and is rewarded as Robinson nicks the ball upwards to him.

Followed by a six. :happy

1.3 6 Roberton to Myall
Top edged the hook but Myall has got the power to clear the ropes: Six!

End of Over 2: 15-1, runrate=7.50
Roberton 1-0-8-1
Myall* 12 (5 balls)
Jepson 1 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Robinson c & b. Roberton 2 (FOW: 7/1)

2.1 4 Baumforth to Myall
Short of a length and outside off. Myall neatly guides it away through the gap between the slips and gully.

Myall happy to be playing again.

End of Over 31: 218-1, runrate=7.03
Wajahat 9-0-50-0
Myall* 124 (89 balls)
Jepson 83 (95 balls)
Last Wicket: Robinson c & b. Roberton 2 (FOW: 7/1)

:D

34.4 W Allison to Myall
Stunning delivery by Allison and an amazing catch at full stretch by Rea.

Brilliant innings comes to an end.

End of Over 35: 239-2, runrate=6.83
Allison 6-1-38-1
Jepson* 89 (103 balls)
Sturgess 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Myall c. Rea b. Allison 138 (FOW: 239/2

35.1 W Knowles to Jepson
Pulis is under it; it's going to be difficult but he's positioned himself well... and he takes a glorious catch just inside the ropes! Jepson shakes his head in sheer disbelief as he trudges back to the pavilion.

Collapse time....

Going very nicely there Sean, looks like Myall could get a 200 :p

You had to jinx me. :(

I really feel sorry for poor old Zorax

We can tell you that The Top Class Kids won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 37: 220-0, runrate=5.95
Whittles 9-0-42-0
James* 99 (98 balls)
Fontaine 115 (125 balls)

I pray for him that I dont lose a wicket as the next two batsmen are Very Aggressive

Who are you playing Gilly???

ARGH! PLANET CRICKET JYNX!!!

38.3 W Whittles to James
Oh what a ball! Brilliant flight and dip, drawing the batsman forward, then kicking off the pitch and nicking the edge of the bat to travel into Goodings gloves! BRILLIANT!

Your opponent paid me to say that ;)

:(
nd of Over 41: 279-3, runrate=6.80
Roberton 6-0-45-1
Saich* 20 (20 balls)
Sturgess 15 (17 balls)

Who are you playing Gilly???

The guy who made those kings for a day montages on youtube.

41.4 6 Allison to Sturgess
Ouch! That guy in the crowd will be nursing his head for a long while.
41.3 3 Allison to Saich
He flicks that over his shoulder and they should easily get 3 here... hang on, Saich just tripped over his own two feet and Wajahat is turning for the throw now. This is gonna be close.... he's made it safely but fine fielding by Wajahat.

Fontaine continues to defy logic.... He is no better than any of Zoraxs players but is always quality for me

41.4 4 Elvins to Fontaine
A smashing cover drive by Fontaine splits the field and the ball races to the boundary - four runs!
Thats his 150. A fine knock.

He has the fifth highest average in my league last season by memory while opening the batting...

Justin Fontaine (1340579)

LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, changeable
A cautious player with feeble leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: The Top Class Kids
Nationality: Australia
Age: 20 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,573
Wages: £408 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: feeble
Fielding: feeble

Does anybody else have a player who is this much of an overachiever

The guy who made those kings for a day montages on youtube.

Why am I expected to know who or what that is? Lol

Allison 10-1-73-1
Saich* 35 (30 balls)
Sturgess 27 (25 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson c. Pulis b. Knowles 89 (FOW: 239/3)

Hoping for 360.

47.6 1 Baumforth to Saich
Brilliant shot by Saich into the gap as it trickles towards the fence. Saich holds his pose for the camera's before realising it's stopped short! The batsman quickly run a single as Roberton clears up.
47.5 4 Baumforth to Saich
A lusty cover drive finds a gap in the field and races to the boundary.
47.4 4 Baumforth to Saich
Baumforth bangs it in short outside off stump. At his pace the ball just sits up and begs to be hit, and Saich obliges with an authoritative pull through mid on for four.
47.3 1 Baumforth to Sturgess
On the toes, pushed to the ground, mid wicket fields as they scramble for the single.
47.2 3 Baumforth to Saich
Saich strokes that one towards the boundary. Leonard will just get there but he can't prevent three runs from being taken.
47.1 4 Baumforth to Saich
Super shot! Full and outside the off stump, Saich went back a bit and creamed it, inside out, between mid off and cover.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

End of Over 48: 353-3, runrate=7.35
Baumforth 9-0-81-0
Saich* 64 (45 balls)
Sturgess 44 (34 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson c. Pulis b. Knowles 89 (FOW: 239/3)

Wow.

48.2 W Roberton to Sturgess
Roberton makes a spectacular dive into the air, almost seal-like, to remove Sturgess. What a cracker of a catch.
Mmmm. Dang.

End of Over 50: 370-4, runrate=7.40
Baumforth 10-0-90-0
Bridges* 13 (7 balls)
Saich 68 (49 balls)
Last Wicket: Sturgess c & b. Roberton 44 (FOW: 354/4)

9 from the final over. Good stuff.
