Not gonna put me in the black. :(

Syl, what a fantastic performance there.. Just amazing!

@ Sean, is it your home game? Or what is the capacity of opponent's ground? I need that money :p

20.3 4 Gilligan to Sturgess
Fantastic cover drive. Four all the way.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Good 50.

End of Over 21: 164-2, runrate=7.81
Gilligan 4-0-26-0
Robinson* 81 (65 balls)
Sturgess 53 (44 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson b. Nevins 5 (FOW: 43/2)

Looking good for that 400 Sean.

Only highlight from my inns

0.1 4 Winters to Ray
Slice of luck for the batsman there. That one was short and wide of off stump, asking to be cover driven. Ray gets a thick inside edge and the ball runs to the fine leg boundary.

And that's the end of the match. Baggy Blues won by 10 wickets.
Goolwa CC 18-10
Baggy Blues 19-0

End of Over 3: 19-0, runrate=6.33
Winters 1-0-11-0
Germon* 8 (6 balls)
9 (8 balls)

2.1 1 Winters to Germon
He’s just plonked that into the gap, nice intelligent cricket.

It's an away match, mate.
23.3 4 Potter to Sturgess
Rocks back and pulls to deep backward square.

23.5 6 Potter to Robinson
New ball please! That ball has been hit out of the ground!

End of Over 24: 189-2, runrate=7.88
Potter 2-0-17-0
Sturgess* 62 (52 balls)
Robinson 95 (75 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson b. Nevins 5 (FOW: 43/2)

Special!!!

End of Over 25: 195-2, runrate=7.80
Gilligan 6-0-38-0
Robinson* 98 (78 balls)
Sturgess 64 (55 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson b. Nevins 5 (FOW: 43/2)

Close to a maiden OD ton! Can he do it!?!

ooooh, 2 byes!

25.1 b2 Potter to Robinson
That's gone through Jantjes and Nevins has to run round and retrieve the ball while the batsmen pick up a couple of freebies.

Onto 99 now....

Back on strike now...

Oooh, he nearly falls.

25.4 . Potter to Robinson
What a marvellous piece of bowling by Potter. He's beaten Robinson all ends up.

He's nervous

25.5 1 Potter to Robinson
Solid stroke to long on, Griffin running in from the boundary.
And that's a century for Robinson! Well played indeed Sir!

There it is! Maiden OD century! Terrific innings!

End of Over 26: 200-2, runrate=7.69
Potter 3-0-20-0
Robinson* 100 (82 balls)
Sturgess 65 (57 balls)

Gilligan 8-0-50-0
Sturgess* 71 (62 balls)

I feel a wicket coming.

Oh wow awesome going Sean, I really should see if my batters can go aggressive like yours when batting first against noob teams.

End of Over 32: 245-2, runrate=7.66
Griffin 6-0-58-0
Robinson* 124 (105 balls)
Sturgess 85 (71 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson b. Nevins 5 (FOW: 43/2)

Need it to get up around 8.

Oh wow awesome going Sean, I really should see if my batters can go aggressive like yours when batting first against noob teams.

I'm on TIE aswell. Imagine if Myall had played! :p

32.1 4 Gilligan to Robinson
Robinson throws the bat at it outside off and carves a fortunate four through the slip cordon.

32.3 4 Gilligan to Sturgess
Worked it around to a vacant backward square leg boundary, well placed.

32.5 4 Gilligan to Robinson
Timed to perfection. You don’t need to run for those.

End of Over 33: 259-2, runrate=7.85
Gilligan 10-0-70-0
Sturgess* 90 (73 balls)
Robinson 133 (109 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson b. Nevins 5 (FOW: 43/2)

There we go, getting it up towards 8 now.

End of Over 34: 269-2, runrate=7.91
Griffin 7-0-68-0
Sturgess* 98 (77 balls)
Robinson 134 (111 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson b. Nevins 5 (FOW: 43/2

Sturgess close to a ton.

He moves to 99...

Back on strike...

34.5 1 Potter to Sturgess
Pitched on the legs, Sturgess flicks in the air to the long leg region, single taken.
And that's a century for Sturgess! Well played indeed Sir!

There it is!

Pearse 8-3-12-3
Smyth* 41 (64 balls)
Rizzo 1 (13 balls)

I am owning here. Pearse is actually showing his potential now. I hope I can knock off the runs on a slow pitch.

Great/dominating start to the cup games to all here.. Thats nice! Well, my game is yet to begin.. I somehow feel, that i am going to have a close contest today. :)

We can tell you that HuntingTigers won the toss and elected to field.

Expected that,

0.1 W Macdonald to Padayachie
A slower delivery... and he's out. He played all round that and got a top edge to mid on.

A great way to start off the game :happy

Here's how my first match is going so far...

The pitch is Green and is an away match for me...

The opponent Karur CC won the toss and elected to bat first. Losing the toss was no issue for me coz I would have bowled first so in the end, I got what I wanted to do.

The first innings has ended and here's the scorecard...
End of Over 13: Karur CC 14-10, runrate=1.08

BOWLERS:

Ghandi 6-3-6-2
Alshaun 5-2-6-6
Abdul kadir 1-1-0-1

WICKETS TO FALL:

1.1 W Alshaun to Ali
That one was dug in very short with a nasty bounce. Ali ducked right down to evade it, but is hit on the helmet and given out - LBW.

1.5 W Alshaun to Hitish
Alshaun follows the ball down the pitch aggressively and is rewarded as Hitish nicks the ball upwards to him.

1.6 W Alshaun to Haishen
Alshaun totally fooled Haishen with his slower ball there. The shot only gave Alshaun an easy catch.

5.1 W Alshaun to Ahmed
The faintest of edges! Alshaun's consistency has paid off!

5.3 W Alshaun to Malik
Malik drives rather uppishly and Ali takes an absolute screamer diving high to his left.

5.5 W Alshaun to Dangasela
Bowled! A touch short but Dangasela, trying to work it to the on side, only gets an inside edge on it, sending the ball into his stumps.

6.3 W Ghandi to Haishen
That's a beautiful hit down to fine leg, they should take a single here. Haishen wants to come back for two, his partner says let's go. OH NO, IT'S A RUNOUT, Abdul kadir claims a direct hit! And no runs will be given as the first run was short!

11.4 W Abdul kadir to Naidoo
I've heard of the ball squeezing through the gate before, but Naidoo virtually held it open then! A truly woeful shot and the price for that mistake is duly paid.

12.4 W Ghandi to Ghandi
Did that pitch in-line? Umpire says yes and the slow raise of the finger signals that Ghandi has got his man.

12.5 W Ghandi to Mohammed
Short ball, Mohammed trys to hook, over balances and just dislodges the bails with the toe end of his bat

The bowling was good from the bowlers and a target of 15 runs is not a nig task to get. Looking forward to a win...

A win for me in the CUP match!!!
Here's how my batsmen scored the runs...

0.1 . Mohammed to Ali
Ali digs out a yorker and the ball rolls out to Haishen at cover for no run.

0.2 6 Mohammed to Ali
Ali has just clobbered the ball over the stands and into someone's garden! Please sir, can we have our ball back?

0.3 3 Mohammed to Ali
Ali has found the gap and will pick up a three. Good work by Karthikeyan though.

0.4 . Mohammed to Hitish
A low whistle from Mohammed, tells you just how close to the top of off stump that was!!

0.5 1 Mohammed to Hitish
That was a very risky single.

0.6 3 Mohammed to Ali
Good running there, three more runs on the board.

End of Over 1: 13-0, runrate=13.00, reqrunrate=0.04 (14-10)
Mohammed 1-0-13-0
Ali* 12 (4 balls)
Hitish 1 (2 balls)

1.1 1 Ghandi to Ali
On the front foot, nipped around to the deep square leg region for the single.

1.2 4 Ghandi to Hitish
Pitched outside off stump, Hitish opens the face of the bat and runs it down to the third man fence, well executed.

End of Over 2: 18-0, runrate=9.00
Ghandi 0-0-5-0
Ali* 13 (5 balls)
Hitish 5 (3 balls)

And that's the end of the match. Aamirs Rockers won by 10 wickets.
Karur CC 14-10
Aamirs Rockers 18-0

Awesome start Suren, are you playing an easy team?

Yup :) But i have rested Love, Hamed and Clarke. So a unreliable bowling line up ;)

I forgot to post the opponent's strength in Sledging thread as i posted the preview show in the story. Woooops, infact, i did the same for club members and financial updates as well.. ( forgot to post in BT forums )

Infact the bowling lineup worked out,

End of Over 19: 29-10, runrate=1.53
Bolland 2-1-1-2
Bhutia* 0 (3 balls)

So the target is just 30. hmm, match should be over in few minutes then,

End of Over 2: 23-0, runrate=11.50, reqrunrate=0.15 (29-10)
Rampaul 1-0-15-0
Bartlett* 8 (6 balls)
Rampaul 14 (7 balls)

Thats it, match has finished too.. Winning runs,

3.3 3 Rampaul to Rampaul
Rampaul makes room and hammers it through extra cover, runs hard and comfortably makes it back for the third.

Hunting Tigers won by 10 wickets,
And that's the end of the match. HuntingTigers won by 10 wickets.
Ratnagiri CC 29-10
HuntingTigers 32-0

Rampaul* 22 (12 balls)
Bartlett* 9 (10 balls)

Good win for the team
