End of Day 2, and The Blind Society are feeling the heat.

They picked up from 102/1 overnight, and proceeded to rack up 395 a/o, with a 90 run lead. Their number three got 209*, Carey took 4 wickets, and Wilkerson and Camebridge two a piece.

In reply, Mavuso fell early, but Gomez and Haishen got stuck in there to take us to 74/1 after 28 overs, 16 runs behind with 9 wickets in hand. Another 110 overs to go in the match, and I believe a draw would be a good result.

Ended up all out for 882, Cook got to 151 before the run out bug started. (run out 4-882)

Had them 3/462 so match ended in a draw :)

At Sean those two are just my med back up players.

Some great fight by The Blind Society's lower order, and some uninspired batting by the ChrisHarris XI, saw the match end in a draw by stumps Day 3.

Resuming on 74/1 and trailing by 16 runs at the start of the day, The Blind Society realised they had a real task on their hands. Securing a win from here was almost out of question, so all they needed to do was bat for two sessions and secure a draw. But that was easier said than done. Gomez and Haishen picked things off, and wiped out the deficit, taking the score to 104 before Gomez was bowled for 48, a bit unlucky to miss a well deserved fifty. But in came the man Bernard Stearman, and he wasted no time laying into the bowling, with 2 sixes and 3 fours in the space of 10 overs. Just when it seemed that Haishen and Stearman were set to bat out the session safely, disaster struck. Stearman got a beauty of an outswinger from Brydon -who took 4 wickets in the first innings and 6 here- and edged behind the stumps for 37. Haishen fell quickly after, and Bonner, Wilkerson, Themba and Carey didn't hang around for long either, leaving The Blind Society tottering at 213/8 -a lead of 123- and plenty of overs left in the day. A loss was on the cards.
Edward Brookes, however, had other plans. Justin Elvins fell quickly after, leaving the score at 230/9, with nearly a whole session to bat to team. Cory Camebridge walked in, and what followed was apartnership that TBS fans were sure to remember. Together, Brookes and Camebridge put up 69 runs for the last wicket, Camebridge hitting 26 and Brookes making 57* in the process. The lead had been extended to 209 runs and, more importantly, these two had batted out all the way to tea! Camebridge fell the first over right after team, leaving ChrisHarris XI 210 runs to get in 39 overs if they wanted the win - a difficult task.
And unfortunately, they never looked like getting there. Double-centurion of the first innings Hankey scored a sedate 72* off 98 balls at the ChrisHarris XI closed the day on 157/3, and the match ending in a draw. Elvins, Bonner and Camebridge each taking a wicket.

And now the Baggy Blues running red hot in the OD league again.

I need a win today, my members are still going up even though I've lost all my FC games. Yesterdays was a shocker though, they needed 400 to win and I needed 10 wickets on the last day. I not only lost it but they won it with 7 wickets to spare!

Close on here, I'd give them the edge as I'm on TIE

Gamer XI are killing me. Stearman fell for a duck, and thats where the whole innings fell apart. Bonner, Brookes, Wilkerson were all terrible for allrounders...

End of Over 39: 106-10, runrate=2.72
Poole 7-1-19-0
Mavuso* 30 (82 balls)

Can't believe it. Stearman for a duck did cost me 50-60 runs, but why did the rest fold so cheaply - Haishen, Bonner, Brookes, Wilkerson? Must be a good bowling pitch, Gamer's bowling isn't that good. Green, Partially Cloudy and Humid.

Yea 2nd time in a row these two are batting together and forming a partnership.

Excellent cover drive from Chavhanga and well fielded by the security man behind the boundary rope. Four runs.
