Quite the start by Suren taking 10 off Barrowdale. Hope this isn't one of those high scoring dusty pitches as don't know if my batting can chase that down.

I hate to bat first, Syl! :mad :p Also, you wanted to try Masi and a new batsman as an opener? It seems Massi and Chav are coming down the order ;)

4.2 W Borrowdale to Bishop
That's bowled Bishop, terrible shot that, I've seen better batters in a fish 'n' chip shop.

Bishop has turned out to be lazy these days. I should try him down the order than allowing him to face the new ball. :mad

Hehe I forgot to change that setting :)
After how Quintus and Fincher went last match I had to give them another chance to fight for a spot next to Masi. Of course if they do what they did last game again then I will have 2 new openers.

Not bad by Mapple got out Barrowdale enemy

7.4 W Mampe to Singh
Singh tries to cut, but is on to the ball too late and edges onto his stumps.

Well, you are very comfortably placed Syl!

End of Over 40: 155-5, runrate=3.88
Clayden 10-0-30-1
Walton* 15 (29 balls)
Field 44 (58 balls)
Last Wicket: Paki c. Masibulele b. Sawyer 33 (FOW: 112/5)

Alshaun's and Malik's failure really have no execuses for HT.

After our last game won't be comfortable until that final ball is bowled.
Bit worrying my best two bowlers couldn't get more wickets.

Your guys starting to lift the pace, might have to switch Sawyer with Mohammed if he produces another 9th over again.
End of Over 43: 176-5, runrate=4.09
Mampe 7-0-24-1
Walton* 31 (42 balls)
Field 49 (63 balls)
Last Wicket: Paki c. Masibulele b. Sawyer 33 (FOW: 112/5)

But in that game, Chav and Masi were dismissed soon. Lets see how the luck goes in this match. ;)

43.3 1 Mohammed to Field
Field just keeps the scoreboard ticking over with a gentle prod to mid wicket, and the batsmen jog a single.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

I had to really appreciate this young chap. He raised the situation from nowhere. When all the responsible batsmen turned out to irresponsible today, Field really played a solid ROCK role through out. :clap Irrespective of the outcome today, this is really a big + point for HT. :)

97 runs partnership came to an end. :(

46.5 W Mampe to Walton
What a catch, that was a genuine stroke. Fantastic anticipation by Clayden at short leg.

Just 3 overs to go :upray

End of Over 47: 209-6, runrate=4.45
Mampe 9-0-43-2
Field* 69 (75 balls)
Love 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Walton c. Clayden b. Mampe 44 (FOW: 209/6)

Just when I was pondering other positions for Mapple he strikes.

Quite the carnage after that wicket.

47.1 W Borrowdale to Field
Yorker! Played all around it and his stumps have been scattered.
47.4 W Borrowdale to Walton
Masibulele! Walton! Umpire! He's gone and gloved behind!

48.1 W Mampe to Love
Got him! He's gone! The ball swings into Love who doesn't move forward and the ball sneaks through the gap, hits the pad and knocks over the off stump.
48.2 W Mampe to Karthikeyan
Karthikeyan advances down the ground and wallops it towards the long on boundary. Great take by Germon though!

End of Over 49: 209-10, runrate=4.27
Mampe 9-0-43-4
Hamed* 0 (2 balls)

Just noticed you have two Walton :)

Ya, Walton brothers ;) Anyways, that was a horrible collapse in the end.

209-6
209-7
209-8
209-9
209-10

Pretty much 6 and out for Quintus
4.6 W Love to Quintus
Love is on a lap of honour after that delivery rips Quintus's middle stump clean out of the ground. The crowd are chanting his name...

Another failure for Chav against HT
6.3 W Love to Chavhanga
Straightish ball on leg stump. Chavhanga goes to flick it away, but he has played the shot too early and the ball raps him on the pad. The umpire takes a moment to consider but Chavhanga has to go.

Going to be real hard to win it from here with Hamed still in the bank.

End of Over 7: 31-2, runrate=4.43, reqrunrate=4.16 (209-10)
Love 4-2-12-2
Fincher* 17 (22 balls)
Masibulele 1 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Chavhanga lbw b. Love 2 (FOW: 29/2)

You are comfortably placed Syl at the moment. With RRR just above 3 runs, it's going to be a cake walk from now.

Another failure for Chav against HT

This is a huge + point for HT in today's match irrespective of the outcome. :)

Hey lol you jinxed me!
19.3 W Hamed to Masibulele
He could have walked for that one! So plumb in front that the umpire was embarrassed for him. That's out!

Next 2 partnerships will decide this game. Fincher 2nd match for BB and he brings up a 50 to go with his 100. Needs to go on though.
20.1 4 Walton to Fincher
Slap! Full and wide outside off stump, Fincher thrusts his front foot out, leans across and spanks it over point. Super shot. The ball just flew to the point boundary.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

The shield has just begun and all the games seem to be in brilliant conditions for the fast bowlers throughout India

End of Over 10: 32-3, runrate=3.20
Dayton 5-0-13-2
Scowcroft* 11 (15 balls)
Ali 14 (23 balls)

Last Wicket: Piper Run Out 1 (FOW: 13/3)

Good start for me, hopefully I will get them for under 150

End of Over 12: 47-4, runrate=3.92
Dayton 6-0-27-2
Rampaul* 0 (2 balls)
Ali 27 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Scowcroft c. Harvey b. Thelwell 11 (FOW: 32/4)

11.6 4 Dayton to Ali
Ali drives the ball faster than the club owner drives his Ferrari.
11.5 2 Dayton to Ali
A great diving stop by Thelwell prevents that ball from rolling over the boundary. Ali will have to settle for two.
11.5 nb. Dayton to Ali
no ball, Ali takes two big steps across to try and make room to hit in to the leg side, but after all that work he misses the ball! He's lucky that the ball bounced over the stumps!
11.4 lb1 Dayton to Rampaul
Poor shot selection from Rampaul. The ball thuds into his pads and Dayton and Wotton are convinced that's out. The umpire's having none of it and they jog through for a leg bye.
11.3 1 Dayton to Ali
Driven to mid off.
11.2 4 Dayton to Ali
Gone! No! A beautiful delivery, well pitched up and Ali goes for an expansive drive but edges it wide of Thelwell at second slip. Dayton scratches his balding head in disgust
11.1 2 Dayton to Ali
On the tips of his toes and steered down to third man. Useful runs.

Looks like my batsmen are gaining momentum after a poor start...

Griffo has some quality bowlers, both of these batsmen gone, 150 is seeming to be a tough task now...

Handy partnership here, but don't trust in my batting lineup after Germon and Hamed has ripped teams apart before.

End of Over 31: 155-3, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=2.89 (209-10)
Walton 6-0-38-0
Sawyer* 27 (30 balls)
Fincher 70 (93 balls)
Last Wicket: Masibulele lbw b. Hamed 42 (FOW: 103/3)
