The Samuel effect at its best, probably the only good thing to come from this match for me. The target is going to be too big for my batsmen to chase.

End of Over 45: 199-3, runrate=4.42
Backley 8-0-44-0
Habibullah* 80 (98 balls)
Faredullah 8 (9 balls)
Last Wicket: Baker c. Kelly b. Barnard 27 (FOW: 171/3)

End of Over 46: 205-4, runrate=4.46
Samuel 8-1-21-1
Faredullah* 9 (10 balls)
Hidayatullah 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Habibullah c. Meyer b. Samuel 85 (FOW: 205/4)
45.6 W Samuel to Habibullah
Oh dear! That's a schoolboy error by Habibullah, playing away from his body at a wide one.

End of Over 48: 215-8, runrate=4.48
Samuel 9-1-26-4
Faredullah* 13 (14 balls)
Tauqiruddin 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Solomon Run Out 0 (FOW: 215/8)
47.6 W Samuel to Solomon
He went for a sharp single, but is comfortably run out.
47.5 W Samuel to Hitchman
Hitchman edges a ball on a good line and is given out.
47.4 W Samuel to Lister
Superb catch behind by Meyer.
47.3 W Samuel to Hidayatullah
Hidayatullah went for the big hit, and Gore has comfortably taken it.

4 wickets in that over should end the game very soon, and then to watch a very tense run chase!

End of Over 49: 216-10, runrate=4.41
Backley 9-0-50-2
Faredullah* 14 (15 balls)

48.4 W Backley to Mahmood
Mahmood foolishly hit his own wicket. The crowd pick up the chant of 'Happy Slappy Chappy'.
48.3 W Backley to Tauqiruddin
Out! Tauqiruddin was struck right in front of all three. If he was fixing a leaky pipe he couldn't have been plumber!

As I said the 4 wickets from the previous over did thier job and Backley comes through to clean up the tail.

217 is too big a total I think, I'll probably get wiped out by his spinner....

Just noticed I've had two 'hit wicket' dismissals in my match so far today. I think its the first time I've even seen a hit wicket dismissal in battrick? Anyone else spotted that?

Maxkarter added 1 Minutes and 20 Seconds later...

0.5 W Mahmood to Mainey
Oh dear! Mainey has gone for a massive pull there, lost his balance and trashed the stumps. He just couldn't get his 'leg over' in time!

48.4 W Backley to Mahmood
Mahmood foolishly hit his own wicket. The crowd pick up the chant of 'Happy Slappy Chappy'.

Nice new addition, but surely it shouldn't be this common?

Its been there since i started playing, its not that common..

Lol fair enough you don't want to check our match ;) There was a hit wicket in there as well.

Was hoping the Windies team I was playing would put a slightly better lineup but oh well at least I know my bowlers are firing.

Sawyer still picking up early wickets with 3-10 while new recruit Ahmed got 3-14. Bowled them out for 28, took me 8 overs to get those runs.

The only thing I noticed was that your spinner took me to the cleaners under no uncertain terms.... Thats another match which has been added to my huge losses which I don't want to think about list, sadly most of those have been due to spinner damage....

Im really not looking forward to seeing my batsmens PFL after I stretch this game to 3 days, lets just hope Jeff White stays in forever as he isnt required on Friday

Well I've just started my first match and it's only taken me 8 balls for my player to get me my first wicket!

1.2 W Shakes to Cadette
That's hit him above the knee-roll. Cadette won't be pleased with that decision.

22.5 . Lyon to Lendore
Well that is quite remarkable! The ball has crept through Lendore's defence and trickled onto the stumps but the bails haven't budged!

Ahh what! They would have been 44-4 in my first match!

28.3 2 Stanford to Mestern
A simple single turned into a frantic coupl, and Mestern only just got home. He's sweating like a fat kid in a cake shop out there.

HAHAHA, that one cracked me up :p

And that's the end of the match. Muireston won by an innings and 346 runs.

Sums up how easy my FC division has been

Sums up the state of FC when I have to pull my best bowler just so I don't win the game :p

Bowled them all out for 379 (Rajasani 7-46)
In reply I'm 6/653 (Lee 167, Ray 152)

Bit disappointed my Bradman from last season has gone so crap this season.

Got a tough game. I'm leading about about 90 runs going into day 3. I'm going to declare about 280 runs in front. I've got nearly all of my players on attacking. It'll most likely be a loss for me.

Code:

Lendore	0 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Ramnarine c. Dann b. Shakes 0 (FOW: 5/3)
