Commentary Thread

I think it's overnight at the moment.

I had a gun start to my First Class career.

I bowled them out for 342, with trainees Waterworth taking 5/39 and Britz 4/112!

Then I made inroads into chasing, making my way to 2/86 my the end of the days play, openers making 42 and 32 respectively, but then unfortunately they both got out near the end of the days play.

WTF happened here?

The next day, I went from 2/86 and got bowled out for 172. Then I got put back in, and my gun opener, who I bought, but isn't really that good, made 95, and his partner made his way to 76, before both fell just before the day ended.

Currently 3/214, 40 odd runs ahead, so we are essentially 3/40 odd, with out best 2 batsmen already dismissed.

Great day for me. Bowled thm out for 264 with my youth pull Morrison taking 3 wickets, giving me around an 80 run lead. In my second innings I'm 1/184 with Fox getting his second 50 of the game, and my other opener Oakley is 71 not out and batting with Morrison who is 29 not out.

55.1 . Warner to Sephake
The TV cameras have just zoomed in on the faces of the team owners. To be honest, they both look as if they spend too much time playing games on the internet.

We should be declaring... I think I set it for 400 and I'm 4/408. Probably too late to win now :( Oakley got a big ton (146), Morrison got 87 and Plummer just brought up his half ton :)

LMAO I am an idiot.

I changed Masi and Sawyer around in my order but forgot to change their bowling settings! So I have my gun spinner as keeper and my keeper bowling!

End of Over 18: 90-2, runrate=5.00
Masibulele 4-0-26-0
Dowe* 30 (38 balls)
Oli 46 (49 balls)
Last Wicket: Lucas b. Woods 7 (FOW: 23/2)

Playing the 3rd placed team from last year. The team that used to be top all the time. He/s still a good side.
End of Over 4: 21-0, runrate=5.25, reqrunrate=5.70 (282-3)
Riches 2-0-11-0
Norton* 13 (16 balls)
Zakaria 8 (8 balls)

Norton is the key. I forgot to GFI so hopefully they can chase it down.

Even after my stupidity, Woods picked up a 6 fer to keep me in the match.

End of Over 20: 86-2, runrate=4.30, reqrunrate=5.93 (263-9)
Howard 5-0-16-0
Masibulele* 27 (37 balls)
Chavhanga 27 (38 balls)
Last Wicket: Sawyer lbw b. Teague 12 (FOW: 38/2)

My batsmen have stopped dead and I'm struggling here.
End of Over 29: 120-1, runrate=4.14, reqrunrate=7.76 (282-3)
Angus 8-1-29-0
Croft* 1 (6 balls)
Norton 60 (84 balls)
Last Wicket: Zakaria c. Nelson b. Martyn 54 (FOW: 118/1)

Norton is batting very slowly.

You got 2 more wickets than me. And Chav is back in the runs :) Masi out for 36 so will be a test for my middle to lower order.
End of Over 33: 149-3, runrate=4.52, reqrunrate=6.76 (263-9)
Durkin 7-0-40-0
Chavhanga* 62 (74 balls)
Perkins 15 (26 balls)
Last Wicket: Masibulele b. Teague 36 (FOW: 102/3)

Good to see Chav back in form.

Norton hits yet another hundred and I'm still in it.
End of Over 46: 242-2, runrate=5.26, reqrunrate=10.25 (282-3)
Convery 8-0-49-0
Norton* 118 (129 balls)
Greenwood 13 (7 balls)
Last Wicket: Croft c. Angus b. Martyn 52 (FOW: 220/2)

Edit: ████, Norton out. It's all over i think. Mccormick isn't in until the next wicket. I need him now.

46.5 W Riches to Norton
Norton has tried to slog that one but Martyn is getting under it. OUT! Norton caught in the deep by Martyn.

Gilly Fan added 15 Minutes and 41 Seconds later...

And that's the end of the match. Flying Cows CC won by 5 runs.
Flying Cows CC 282-3
Aussie Bombers 277-3

End of Over 50: 277-3, runrate=5.54
Convery 10-0-72-0
Greenwood* 33 (18 balls)
10 (9 balls)

15 off the last over but it was all to no avail. Batted far too slow in the middle.

Big win for me. Got 3/298 off my 50 with Oakley and MaGuire hitting tons, then bowled em out for 130 after 30 overs.

Played on an uneven pitch today and won by just 4 runs. Only 8 wickets fell in the whole match.

Unlucky Sean, GFI might have made the difference.

Amazingly even after my stupidity I got home with 4 balls to spare.

When I lost Perkins my situation was

End of Over 41: 191-4, runrate=4.66, reqrunrate=8.11 (263-9)
Brittain 6-0-31-1
Chavhanga* 79 (95 balls)
Crouch 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Perkins b. Brittain 36 (FOW: 191/4)

Chav knocking off another 100
44.5 1 Brittain to Chavhanga
Whipped off his pads, and they run through for a single.
And that's a century for Chavhanga! Well played indeed Sir!

Chav then kept up his scoring rate and Crouch was just what was needed scoring 32 off just 22 balls.

And no this team was not a noob, he came 2nd last season

Baggy Blues Team Moose Power
Top Order: quality remarkable
Middle Order: superb respectable
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: quality wonderful
Spin Bowling: useless wonderful
Fielding: feeble mediocre

Holy jesus!

Just saw my OD match played today! Made 278 with the bat, again my openers led the way, Newton making 112 and Raisani, Mr Choke, perhaps he should be called, scored 99, after falling on 95 in the FC match. Unfortunately the bowlers were rubbish and I lost, the opposition chasing down the score with <4 overs to spare.
