Your openers are doing a good job. No breakthrough for my zolt11 squad till 16th over!

You did equally a good job too. You lost only two wickets while batting. Still match is not over, we will see whether BT has any surprise for us.

I wonder why always my opening batsmen become tired after giving good starts. It happened against Ste's team as well. Better luck next time, Zolt11. Well played though to keep the match down the wire till the end. :)

Match between zolt11 and Tom Jones Enthusiasts.

Zolt11 won the toss and elected to bat and are now in big trouble!

End of Over 16: 58-4, runrate=3.63
Kirkland 1-0-2-0
Lineesh* 6 (13 balls)
Chanderpaul 6 (17 balls)

End of Over 19: 68-5, runrate=3.58
Leabua 3-0-9-1
Chanderpaul* 7 (23 balls)
Hunter 0 (2 balls)

Its important for zolt11 to bat the whole 50 overs!

newzolt added 7 Minutes and 50 Seconds later...

hopes lay on chanderpaul's sholder now. One cannot expect much from frikkie ,a no. 8 batsman.

chanderpaul running out of partners. Its difficult for zolt11 to even reach 100!

With my match Vs Fighting Mongooses, it's gone down the wire,

End of Over 49: 239-4, runrate=4.88, reqrunrate=18.00 (256-4)
Love 10-0-61-0
Haughton* 52 (65 balls)
Dodge 16 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Holloway Run Out 83 (FOW: 221/4)

Com'on HT, we need to defend 18 runs in last over. Lets go, HT!

chanderpaul running out of partners. Its difficult for zolt11 to even reach 100!

It's because, he is one mighty team :)

So, thats the victory against Mongooses. Credits to the centurion, Singh and the initial tight spells from HT bowlers.

And that's the end of the match. HuntingTigers won by 7 runs.
HuntingTigers 256-4
Fighting Mongooses 249-4

G.Singh - 118*

End of Over 50: 249-4, runrate=4.98
Gayle 10-0-61-0
Dodge* 17 (11 balls)
Haughton* 60 (69 balls)

Better luck next time, FM.

In the match against Syl, I made a big mistake of batting first. :facepalm

End of Over 40: 153-1, runrate=3.83, reqrunrate=3.50 (187-7)
Gayle 8-0-42-0
Branch* 33 (74 balls)
Crouch 62 (105 balls)

Last Wicket: Moodley b. Penn 52 (FOW: 83/1)

But still happy that, I didn't give away the match so easily :) It was a very interesting pitch to play on. Congo Syl!

I had you batting first so toss didn't matter :) Good effort by your batsmen, usually the bowlers have their way on this wicket.

End of Over 33: 110-8, runrate=3.33
Huddlestone 7-0-26-3
Africa* 1 (2 balls)
Al dulaimi 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Goonasena c. Branch b. Huddlestone 0 (FOW: 110/8)

My new purchase just grabbed 3 fer in that over.

Slow start for them. Good to get that early wicket although it was a run out. Fieldhouse, my other opening bowler has 8 overs, 5 maidens, 0/5. They have 2 leg byes and 1 bye.

End of Over 16 (1 run). Devils: 19-1, runrate=1.19
Overs left today: 94
Clayden 8-2-11-0
Drummond* 1 (20 balls)
Yousif 8 (43 balls)

Last Wicket: van Geersdaele Run Out 7 (FOW: 9/1)

lol, leaving at 68/1, I didn't expect them to be 101/6 when I got back on. And 3 wickets fell in the 2 overs after I left. Should have just waited another 10 minutes before quitting it. Some good bowling from the spinners.

41.3 W Gilroy to Drummond
And Drummond is gone, beaten by the spin.

42.2 W Deane to Yousif
A swing and a miss. Clean bowled!

42.6 W Deane to Weaver
Weaver looks down in disbelief at the wreckage of his stumps. He thought he had that one covered but in reality he was never anywhere near it.

45.4 W Gilroy to Lebenthle
Lebenthle hammers that one, but Bittner foils him and takes a great catch deep on the boundary.

53.3 W Fieldhouse to Parle
He's gotta walk! The inswinging yorker has made a complete mess of the stumps.

Bowling figures:

Fieldhouse (RFM) - 12-7-11-1
Clayden (LM) - 9-2-17-0
Iftikhar (RFM) - 11-6-13-0
Gilroy (LWS) - 16-11-18-2
Deane (RFS) - 9-4-16-2

End of Over 57 (Maiden). Devils: 101-6, runrate=1.77
Overs left today: 53
Deane 9-4-16-2
Lekhi* 8 (45 balls)
Dhindsa 1 (13 balls)

Last Wicket: Parle b. Fieldhouse 13 (FOW: 100/6)

Oh dear. How many lives will Rhodes get? Already been put down 3 times.

79.3 . Iftikhar to Rhodes
Rhodes could only glove away a quick, lifting ball, and it flies to Euell. Oh! But he grounds a sharp chance.
79.2 . Iftikhar to Rhodes
Gilroy drops a sitter. It looks like he could do with a couple of extra fielding nets.

2 dropped catches in 2 balls. And our fielders must hate Iftikhar.

75.2 . Iftikhar to Rhodes
If looks could kill, Fieldhouse would currently be surfing on a large mushroom cloud. Iftikhar presented a shorter, wider ball and tempted Rhodes to hitting that high to Fieldhouse for an easy catch. The only consolation is Rhodes wasn't expecting a chance to run.

And lol, they're 3 of my 4 best fielders.

Gilroy strong fielding
Euell proficient fielding
Fieldhouse respectable fielding

---------- Post added at 04:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:43 PM ----------

Iftikhar's getting tired of fielders dropping catches off his bowling (4 of 5 dropped catches today have been off him) so he gets Rhodes out LBW to take his first wicket of the day.

81.1 W Iftikhar to Rhodes
Rhodes is rapped on the pads, large appeal, Iftikhar is on his knees begging the umpire for the decision. After what seems an eternity, there is a nod of the head and a finger is raised.
