He is fit.I am more worried about Kohli. Hope he is fit to play Sunday's match. Oh and btw Why the hell he was going for quick single? Didn't he improved from the same mistake he did in Test match.
I guess it's one thing to say 'this next one's going to the fence' and another to say 'this next one is going to be my single to retain strike', especially when you can't run properly.I am more worried about Kohli. That failure to catch Ashwin on the last ball looked extremely sus. I'm getting a strong vibe of: "Our lords and masters have bet a lot of money on Ashwin to get MOM so it's more than your life/career is worth to do anything to jeopardize that". Especially (with hindsight) considering the gifts made of Raina, Dhoni and Kohli's wickets to ensure Ashwin would bat.
aayush93;2269264[B said:]Test Matches has really helped Kohli to convert his weakness (playing short ball) into strength.[/B] In last 4-5 innings he has scored runs on every short ball, which clearly tells that for him now short ball is a scoring opportunity.
He is now a perfect No.3 player and i hope next time when he plays Test cricket for India, he bats at No.3.
Kohli anyways did not have much problems with the short stuff, he had done well even in South Africa(ODIs) right before the WC where he was tested with some short bowling.
It was just his temperament which was the main issue in tests.
See you did not understand my comment properly. I will try to explain you what i am saying.
Sehwag doesn't have problem against short ball stuff if he is not looking to score runs on that delievery, but that doesn't make him good against short stuff. Similarly before Aus tour, Kohli didn't had problems against short stuff if he wants to duck it but after playing Test matches in Aus, now he can score runs off short balls very comfortably. Ponting is called very good player of short ball stuff (specially balls on body) because he can score runs off those delivery unlike Tendulkar who looks to duck it most of the time.
