Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

When all is said and done, I didn't like the fact Dhoni kept going with Bowden, the third umpire is as high as you can go, so the decision is made. Take it further after the game.
Just as annoying as when Punter used to do it.

Yeah its annoying but Punter was on a different level. Dhoni is yet to abuse the umpires and opposition :p

Inzamam situation looked more ridiculous than Husseys due to him playing a defensive shot at the ball, unfortunately that probably influenced the decision.
Using your bat is the definition of obstructing the field. I actually think that situation happened because of the unusual run out he had in a Test vs England the year before. He squirmed out of Harmison's throw and inadvertently left his ground as the ball hit the stumps. A freakish dismissal, but obviously he thought next time he wouldn't do that.

Would be better if you add few flames on the Aussie newspapers if he was declared out. And a lot of "F's" with few *** beside em.

Let it slide mate. He's incapable of having a decent discussion. Let him giggle in his gaga-land which is haunted by a big monster named BCCI.

He is biased. It looks like Australia will post 280 again. :(

Ofcourse they will. Dhoni bowling out his spinners and then his pace bowlers will be taken apart at the death.
Boring, stale captaincy without any imagination.

It's clearly a completely subjective law with no way of proving the outcome either way. If that's not obstructing the field then I don't think it can stand up to any further analysis.

Unless you are swan diving to tip the ball round the posts I can't imagine a way, in modern cricket, you could possibly get dismissed by obstructing if that's how the umpires are going to see it. If you're running to the thrower's end, the ball is by rights going to come close to the batsman.

Hence the umpires opinion comes into play, which isn't going to be perfect. Australia got lucky with that decision but I don't see it as being a major miscarriage of justice.

Well he does not have any other options.

Ashwin is bowling ????, Pathan is in pavalion. Jadeja and Praveen are almost done with their overs. Umesh is struggling with his line and length. What can he do here?

Mark Taylor has clearly never seen Alcatraz :lol

Tendaulker, Kohli and Raina can bowl a bit.

Thats why he should have given Yadav a few overs in the middle when he was bowling Sehwag so the kid can get a chance to get his line and length proper without being exposed to the fielding restrictions.
Seems to me that Sehwag was just bowling to make sure that Dhoni doesn't get another suspension for over rates.

As I say that Yadav gets a wicket.
