I was wondering the same. I presume AI (while bowling) set field according to batsman’s weakness (hopefully no vacant point positions), maybe set 7-2 offside field and bowl on the offside forcing human teams to take risk while scoring runs.
In terms of batting, with improved AI, @MattW can v expect dynamic batting order from AI (sending attacking/brute batsman ahead of more defensive batsman towards the end of innings)
Yeah, hopefully we see the bowling linked to the field setting. I'd love to see different approaches at different times, e.g. looking for good length swing with the new ball, looking to restrict the scoring in death overs with wider yorkers and slower balls. As well as adapting to match circumstances at less obvious times. If you've got a couple of settled batsman they prrhaps try some short stuff or a part timer.
I've felt for the last two games that bowling and fielding are skewed too much in our favour. We're able to make minor adjustments that isn't an option for the AI. Anything that closes the balance, even a little, would be welcome.
Certainly hope that the strategy improvements extend to AI batting too.
