Seems the academy is working for me (Hooray!!) But, I'm downloading Fried's teams, and a whole bunch of the playfaces have freaky colouration things going in? Kohli has yellow and red stripes down his entire face, Agarwal's entire head is purple.. etc. Not all of them have this, but I'd say 90% do. The other thing is that it's soooo sloooooow. India has taken 8 minutes so far of just a darkened screen with the autosave popping up every 40 seconds or so. Is this just how the academy is currently? Or is just mine in particular being shit.

Nevermind. Game crashed, none of the downloads actually went through, and now the academy won't load at all again.

For those saying they can’t get an overcast day… I’m playing a match in Pakistan at the moment, in the Lahore generic stadium. It’s crazy how dark it is from the clouds!!!

Similiar experiences here, first ashes test match at ze Gabba and fittingly it was very dark skies, really enjoyed the immersive experience of the weather alms it all seemed realistic as I opted to bat first (England) and we were 10-2

I tried looking for Fried's SA teams to and it wouldn't load anything, the only thing I could search were players but the models of players looked fine no colour issues.

I raised ticket and want others also please to raise tickets for overcast weather conditions

Tickets aren't a voting system, people repeatedly raising the same thing just delays responding to others reporting unique issues.

Also, as far as no mid off/on fielding position available to be assigned to players 1st, 2nd, or 3rd fielding positions it is there however it is incorrectly named as the wicket-keeping postion which means there are two wicket-keeping postions, one which is the real one and the other that also says wicket-keeping but the description is actually that of the mid off/on position.

Yep, this is just a text error, I've fixed up that wording so that should be resolved in the next update.

I can’t add powerplays while making a new match type. A lot of people have already submitted tickets about it.

Yeah, can reproduce the issue. Workaround for the moment would be to copy a match type with the amount of powerplays you need, as the error is just in increasing/decreasing the count.

Sorry, first time I saw it. Wonder if it was always meant to be like that or they've just added it.

I'm told it was always meant to be like that, so was fixed in a recent update.

Is there any plans to change the name and number font back to how they're displayed in C19 and earlier? This game has names with spaces looking awful, gaps between the spaces are too big and the numbers merge into each other for the thicker sized fonts. No idea what's changed between games for that @MattW

Yeah should have a grab though it’s in to day 2 now and brighter.

They can't be changed "back" in that it's an entirely new system (hopefully the text is a lot clearer on them for example of the benefit to the change) - but it is noted to try and improve those issues.

That's understandable, is just a nagging issue.

Any chance as well of looking at broadcast cam and making that track bowlers run ups better? It's so inconsistent currently from stadium to stadium and bowling action to bowling action

@MattW I was wondering when in competition mode can the option be added to change host nation? I remember back in Cricket 19 this wasnt addressed as I asked for this multiple times and in the end it was patched back in! Ive already submitted a ticket. Also is there any chance logos from Cricket 19 to be able to imported to Cricket 22?

Is it possible to work on the tickets based on the one section of the game like batting first and get all the issues sorted and move on to bowling and fielding and so on that way we know if something is broken we know after which section of the update caused it.

Different people work on different things - so unless we just fix things and then hold back a batting fix because we're doing a fielding fix, that wouldn't be possible. Obviously the intent is never to have things be 'broken', and a lot of the time after an update people have a game where they experience things that have been in the game for a while and think they are new.

Changing cameras is always a difficult one - as for some any change made might ruin how they like it. Which of the broadcast cams are you referring to?

Possibly, but as I think people would understand, the full focus from those who work on the Academy side of things is to resolve the ongoing issues with downloads and so on.

When selecting a T20 WC its always in Australia (which is the 2022 WC) and when doing a ODI WC its always England the host nation. It would be nice to have the tournament played in different countries as that would add more realism to the game I feel.

That would be great if it can be implemented but I understand the issues with downloads needs fixing first.

Also @MattW I wanted to ask will be able to edit the seat colours in stadium creator and also FPS in night games lag so much on PS5? I hope that it will be rectified in a upcoming patch.
