Cricket 24 - General Discussion

lots of things are on the way.Question is will they ever make it or stay on the way indefinitely??
Trust me, they won't. They will make sure that the last patch will break some gameplay and leave it at there.

Cricket 19 had the falling wicket keeper bug

Cricket 22 had good fielder responsiveness in the beginning and then the brought the fielder running and then when ball goes over the fielder standing like a dumb duck in the last patch.. even the bowler used to collect balls very fast which was lost in patches later.

If they give a complete game, 2 years later people wouldn't be compelled to buy the new game as there no much additional features from the previous game that they are offering. So even if they can they won't fix the bugs to ensure their sales goes on always making a mockery of the buyers in the dream of getting a perfect cricket game.

Slightly off topic, seeing the shit show that Cricket 24 has become I've been wanting to go back and play the older BA cricket games.
How would you rank all the BA games from DBC 14 to Cricket 24. Would appreciate the inputs.

So tempted to buy DBC14 but someone said that since there are no sliders it gets too easy in that.

Exploring PS refund options in Settings> Support. Has anyone done this or tried this? Can we report Sony that the game is broken and I would need a refund?

Unfortunately ps refund is lot harder once you download the game. Best bet is steam and Xbox has good refund policy has well. Personally I am only 5 mins away for 5 2 hours make to return and also have 14 days one you buy to refund. Waiting for some miracle patch before I return..

Yes! ffs they could just replace it with the old animation they had for Starc and it would look so so much better.
Just use some of the less unorthodox styles (you don't want everyone bowling like Bumrah or Malinga) - Cummins, Perry, Broad, Southee etc. Left handers could be matched up to Cottrell, Boult, Shaheen.

I've been spending my lunchtime downloading Irish domestic teams and something I've noticed is that despite being licensed, downloading community teams seems to add the players to the international team. Great you may exclaim, the only problem being when downloading 3 of the teams I requested that the game kept current and did not replace with new and with the 4th team I didn't even get that option. In all instances the players were replaced against my instructions (they were massively upskilled so I didn't want to replace them). Once in the Ireland team, the upskilled versions were locked for editing.

To summarise, it seems you can replaced licensed players with community ones even if you don't want to.

Play Ashes Cricket with increased friction and slightly less spin revolution. However, the legacy DBC still tops the list. Ashes cricket more of a close to complete package. C19 is fun but the models and terrible fielding kills it for me. Add the arcade style of gameplay to that and it spells doom. The less I say about C22, the better.

Now, over to you!

Something that I would like to add is there’s no option to add elbow sleeves and you can’t change the color of the shoes too.
I'm pretty sure I changed some colours on the shoes. You could only change one colour on the umpire.
After gameplay, fielding, pitch wear and a better career mode, this right here is what I'd like to see improved in the game. A wider variety of outfield patterns, grass embankment... how long have we been asking for this? It annoys the hell out of me that we've been seeing the same shoes, glasses, pads, gloves etc since the Don Bradman games. Awesome to see some new licensed pads and gloves, but I'm sure they could have added a lot more.

But your kit bag suggestion is top class. I love that idea. BA please take note of this!!

I feel a big part of what made the earlier games better was, although BA didn't have the licenses, we had more "freedom" to customize things. Imagine the next level players, stadiums, uniforms that could have been created by the community if the creation tools have been given some major improvements over the years. Just look at AO Tennis 2 and the sweatbands, kit bags etc that have been in the game, but we can't put a sweatband on a fielder. Why not? And body logos and tattoos? What happened to this option? I remember my 1st ever logo I created was me trying to create my tattoo on the old DB17 game. Took me an entire weekend to try and figure it out and with an Xbox controller, some new words spoken and quite a bit of holy water used to exorcise the demons I eventually got it looking semi decent. Now all we have is the same few tattoos copied over and over from previous iterations. It's just frustrating that there has been so little added to the creation tools over the years.

But that kit bag idea... maybe one day we can have some nice things.
I added tattoos when I was making a player yesterday.
