Cricket Academy questions

This is very true :D

The guys on the team that work on it are the ones who groan the most, especially as in the case with this game as we have direct competition and they don't like the idea that we may be copied, however, I have little fear of that because for us both to make our dates both games have to be feature complete and finished around about now ;)

I would be pretty eager to see the looks on their faces sir, because the fact is that you have been openly sharing every little "secret" about the game since day one :facepalm... maybe it is too late for the competition to copy your work now but what about the early days....

Is there anything this game doesn't do? Seriously, there has to be a 'no, we have not done it' somewhere from Ross. I can't really wait for this!

I am sincerely praying for the success of Big Ant's games, and leaving aside the fact that the game is going to be a bomb, I really like Ross :)

There is a full physics system for the bat/ball, it will change it's line but that might be really slight for small edges.

You will always get noise from an edge, very small and slight but with noise from the crowd, foot movement, etc.. it could just be in your head too, just like the real thing where you swear it was an edge :)

Thats great to hear.

Yes, but I won't to give a hard date until the game is through approvals with Sony/MS because as soon as a date is announced retailers start their pre-orders and it's more than embarrassing if the date slips after you've taken peoples money :noway

Spot on Ross. No point jumping the gun.

These new revelations are amazing, joypad feedback for nicks, slight noises for nicks, manual appeals, somebody wake me up.

I'm so glad Ross said they have made it close to t.v. looks wise. Somebody asked about batsman view, but I'm not fussed with that as long as there is a good broadcast view.

Ross, while your being so great answering all these questions, just wondered if you remember how many players you can have in a squad per team.

Thanks.

But you can't discount the possibility of folks who like to play multi-player on the same PC. I remember I used to do that with my friends in school days If the game supports multi-player on the same PC, which most games do, you have to design it accordingly.
Hence optional - I think in single player on a local machine there's nothing wrong with a visual indicator.

Basically, I think that of the people playing on PC, most will be doing local single player/online with a keyboard. After that you'd get single player with a controller, local multiplayer with two controllers and then the case of one person on keyboard and another on a controller would be a relatively rare case.

If you assume most controllers do have rumble (the really cheap ones don't, but most seem to - I have an Xbox 360 wired controller for PC, but usually just play with the keyboard) - so the case where you wouldn't want a visual indicator on PC is really limited to a few cases which I think are the less common ones.

That said, it doesn't matter that much, unless you can walk - there's little reason for the batsman to know for sure, it's a nice bonus though.

at least screenshots, trailers release dates please
Translation: At least post everything about the game and I won't ask for any more...

Wow. I keep on thinking to myself there is no way Big Ant can surprise me any more. But they continue to do so!

Ross, could we walk off in the game if we know we've edged it but the umpire doesn't pick it? It's a gentleman's game after all.

Why would u walk off when there's DRS???:facepalm
