Note: post your answers in this thread and the recorded cricket match I'm looking for is INTERNATIONAL!

Damn now you tell me. Surely we should post by PM to stop others looking at the answers put by someone else?

My answers:
Q1. G Anderson's XI v G Parr's XI, 1863/64 (also known as England vs Australia)

Q2. Liam Botham

Q3. A high full toss which can either slip out of the hand or be done purposefully. The ball goes at or around head height. It is a no ball and if the bowler bowls 2 beamers the umpire can bring the bowler off.

Q4. For the mistakes made in the ICC 200 World Cup Final, where they ended up playing the last few overs in pure darkness

1. Who competed in the first ever recorded international cricket match?
The first International cricket match ever recorded was between Canada and the United States in 1844.

2. What is the name of Sir Ian Botham's son?
Sir Ian's son's name is Liam.

3. What is a beamer?
A beamer is a delivery from a bowler that is aimed at the batsman's head without the ball bouncing on the pitch. This type of delivery is extremely dangerous and will no doubt be called a no-ball by the umpire.

4. Why have the ICC banned Aleem Dar, Billy Bowden, Steve Bucknor and Rudi Koertzen from the Twenty20 World Cup final?
The 4 on-field umpires are banned because the 2007 Cricket World Cup final concluded in controversial manner with play continuing even though it was in total darkness; something the ICC do not want to repeat in the Twenty20 World Cup final.

1. Canada v United States

2. Sir Ian's son is called Liam who was a proffesional rugby player who now is a Sky Sports Commentator.

3. A ball which does not bounce and is higher than the batsman's waist. Waqar Younis did this in World Cup in 2003. This can result in barred from the innings or a match if the bowler consectively does it.

4. Because in the World Cup final earlier this year there was a fiasco about the light in which the umpire wher blamed for, and they were wrong , but it was also the ICC's fault.

EDITED: Edited first question due to i thought same as will, but it was different, very confused.

1. Who competed in the first ever recorded international cricket match?
USA and Canada.
2. What is the name of Sir Ian Botham's son?
Liam Botham
3. What is a beamer?
Full toss above waist high
4. Why have the ICC banned Aleem Dar, Billy Bowden, Steve Bucknor and Rudi Koertzen from the Twenty20 World Cup final?
For the world cup final fiasco in which with little time left and the result almost determined, it was seriously considered to go off for bad light and replay tomorrow, ignoring the fans who had travelled and waited ages for the end of the final and the end of a monsterously long world cup.

Can i change my answer to question 1 to USA and Canada? When I read the question, I was under the impression you were talking about TV coverage but the first match in the record books was between USA and Canada
