Sign-ups Cricket-Championship.com Planet Cricket Leagues

I Just want add one more Medium pace bowler to the line-up and he also can bat... but good thing is Warriors latest score is 222/7. 30 overs... if we get 3 wicket early, that could be good for us...[DOUBLEPOST=1423839083][/DOUBLEPOST]now they lost 8th wicket... but one of there batsman still playing at 90 not out with good strike rate...
Will You do a freindly with me Raghu :p

I worked out how to commission a League if we are interested in playing in a Planet Cricket League or two, it's very easy, we can run both a 4 day League and a 50 over League.
I can make it invitation only so it is an official Planet Cricket League.
Our games will count on our official First Class and 50 Over career stats on the Cricket Championship site, whereas at the moment the friendlies we are playing only count on their friendlies stats.
We also win prize money and generate more income from crowds for doing well in a League, and I think it makes our older players less likely to retire because they feel they are still playing important cricket.
I'm free game wise from next Saturday onwards, so if we keep space in our schedule by not signing up to other leagues we can come up with something for then.
I'd like to start both a First Class and a 50 over League, because I want our players to make the most of their talent and play as many games as possible before they age and retire.
I think the rules said they age a year every 15 weeks, and they eventually retire after the age of 35, the exact age depending on how much cricket they are still getting picked for.
So let me know if interested, I'd really like to start something, it can be quite small at first, but then build into something bigger.

I'll try and get some numbers together, not sure where I will advertise it though, might contact all the Planet Cricket users who have signed up through the Cricket Championship site with their invitations, will give them a week to accept, and will just play it with whoever accepts by then.
Will set it up so it's like the official leagues...First Class games running from Tuesday through to Friday, and 50 over games on Sunday.

Edit..I think we should play our Planet Cricket 50 over league on Saturdays, to enable people to play in the official Cricket Championship leagues on Sundays.

Eventually when we have enough under 19 or under 23 players in our squads we could try a youth 50 over league on Mondays as well, so we have a game of cricket on every day of the week.
This might tire our players out, am not sure how much recovery time they need, so we'll probably have to rotate squads a bit, but that is part of the fun of the game.

I suggest we all try and play at least one practice game of each type during the next week, to get the hang of tactics.
Am definitely going to start these leagues, will send out the invites tomorrow.
If you are struggling to find a Planet Cricket user for the appropriate friendly type during the week and you want a game, there are other teams on the Cricket Championship site always looking for friendlies, and if they don't accept your requested match type a computer controlled team will.

The Planet Cricket First Class League will run from Tuesdays to Fridays each week, starting on the 24th of February.
The Planet Cricket 50 Over League will run on Sundays, to give our players a rest day after each 4 day match. It will begin on the 1st of March.
The exact length of the leagues depends on how many people sign up, the rounds will be automatically generated after that, with one home game and one away game against each opponent.

Edit...Just found out I can only commission one league, so will wait a couple of days and find out what type of format we want it to be.
If we want a second Planet Cricket League, a second Planet Cricket user will have to commission one and invite us to play.

Btw Warriors won by 60 runs . :D

Redking's challenge accepted. Next match 14th Feb 13:00

Just commissioned a Planet Cricket 50 Over League, to run on Sundays, beginning on the 1st of March.
Thought it would be good to run something in conjunction with the World Cup.
Applications close on the 26th of February.
Games will start between 3:30 and 5:30 GMT/Cricket Championship time to run concurrently with most of the Day/Night fixtures during the 2015 World Cup.
We will earn prize money for how well we do in our league, generate increased revenue from larger crowds, and our stats will count on our official 50 Over stats.
There will be a maximum of 8 teams, the tournament is invitation only, so if you haven't received an invite and you want to play, please let me know :)

Have sent out the invites, looking forward to getting this started, themusketeer has already accepted.

Can one of us please commission a Planet Cricket First Class League?
I am only allowed to commission one league, and I would like us to play some First Class cricket midweek.
Games starting on Tuesdays at 3:30 GMT would be best for all of us I think, because our games would be on during the World Cup coverage on tv when we are probably all up and watching anyway.
Set it to a maximum of 8 teams, with applications closing on the 21st of February, and the tournament starting on the 24th of February.
Make sure you set competition type to First Class, so our stats appear on our First Class records.
Make it by Invitation Only, so we don't end up being bogged down playing computer controlled teams for weeks.
If less than 8 teams sign up, it doesn't matter, our tournament will just be a bit shorter this time round.
Click on Guide at the top of Cricket Championship site if you want to find out how to commission a league, then click on Account and create one and send out the invites.
Sorry to ask all this, but this is what I would have done for us had it allowed me to create two leagues.
Also, please invite Beasts of Bourbon to the tournament, they will be playing in our 50 over league, the manager is a good friend of mine.
